Cowboys receiver Isaiah Stanback says he is ready to play and be the No. 3 wideout on Sunday despite his injured left shoulder. He will be forced to play with a shoulder harness all season for support and it does cause him some restriction with his left arm.

Stanback is also holding off on surgery he needs until the offseason, like he had last year on the same shoulder. But Stanback said he does not risk further damage to the shoulder. He may just have to deal with it popping in and out -- ouch.

Stanback will deal with this all season but says he could be able to return to kickoff duty at some point. From my coaching seat, I don't think that would be a good idea. Could he continue to handle the hits and falling on the shoudler? Sounds bad to me.

He knows this is a big chance for him and he is not going to let his shoulder take that away from him. It might be a little different once Hurd and Austin come back but I expect him to go all out with this chance until they return.

I like the mental toughness he's willing to show to play through the pain because the team needs it. I just hope he doesn't screw himself, with such a decision, in the long run.

He won't wear the harness all year, because he is going to injure the shoulder again (even worse probably) and end up on IR. I mean he is already a walking injury (Stanglass), now he is going to try to play with a harness on?

its only for a game or two anyways. he will be 4th and then 5th when our other wr's return. we just have to hope he doesn't break out and keep the #3 spot. he will end up badly injured and we may lose him for good.

I do like his gutsy attitude by. riding off his shoulder injury. He knows this is an oppurtunity of a lifetime for him.
