Why Wade allowed Garrett to not play Felix in one game earlier last year is puzzling.
Wade doesn't like to play young players either.

No. Several problems have been solved, like Tank Johnson, Adam Jones, Brian Stewart, Bruce Read and Terrell Owens. All haven't. Give it a little more time. :)
In my heart of hearts, I think Romo is overrated. I think his arm is weak, I think his ability to make reads is in question, his decision making ability gets worse and worse, he is a drive killer and a momentum changer by giving the ball to the opposing teams at times we really can't afford it.

And until he plays without a dynamic receiver, who knows what he can do. We shall see though, everyone can sit back in their computer chairs and brag and smile that the old devil is gone, but the season will come, and as long as Romo does what he's been paid to do, they those people can continue smiling and I'll smile with them quite frankly, but at this point, I think he's a very average QB.

Fair enough, but I hope that everyone realizes that the huge investment which Jerry Jones made in Romo means that he's not going anywhere soon--even if he stinks it up.

We will both watch 2009 with a a very critical eye. I share the exact same thoughts. As much as I want to rally around Romo something keeps holding me back... I just don't see the desire to be one of the greatest when I observe his actions both on and off the field. If he could just get past that whole sulking on the bench after an INT away from everyone thing then he would have made one small step in the right direction. That gets on my nerves. If anything says "I'm not ready to lead you" it's this...

I would much rather see plenty of this...

Personally, I like the guy. He seems like a guy I could hang out with. TO, someone I definitely wouldn't hang out with but as a talent, he's amazing.

My opinions are based on play and not personality.

I do like Wade, I just don't think he has total control over the entire team. We have 2 head coaches, Wade and Garrett.

Garrett isn't a coach, but so far inept red-head whose ability is that he can interview well..

I really don't mind if he is depressed after sucking, I just would like for him to not suck.

I am rooting for him because I do love the Cowboys but he has to go back to the small things like accuracy and pocket awareness with regards to protecting the ball. And personally, I think he needs to study defenses more, in particular the one he's going to face that particular week, because he looked confused most of the year.

I don't know if Wade is good for Romo or Garrett. Wade needs to step up and tell Garrett to get his head out of his "you know what" in some of the games when Romo is being totally careless with the ball.

All in all, I will hold judgement until after the draft and after mini-camp and most of the pre-season.

Yeah I hear ya. All good points. I'm tired of the December fizzle and the lack of a playoff win year after year.. However, if Romo somehow manages to get it I will be right there ferociously celebrating victory.

I just can't find many avenues for optimism. I know we have some great players but the coaching is a huge part of the remaining problem and I just can get excited about that. Perhaps Romo, Wade, and Garrett will suddenly get it. I won't hold my breath though.

He is far from "just average" as you say. He is a probowl QB that is considered to be one of the best QBs in the league by scouts and GMs from other teams.

If Romo was released, every team in the NFL would be lined up to offer him a small fortune (with the exception of maybe 4 or 5 teams that have a Brady or Manning).

On a side note, he does not have a weak arm. I went to the AlamoDome 2 seasons ago to watch their training camp in San Antonio. Before practice started, the QBs were warming up and chatting between themselves and Romo motioned for one of the recivers to go deep, I couldnt tell which receiver it was from where I was sitting.

Romo was standing on his own 40 and took about 3 steps before he launched the rock. It landed about 5 yards deep in the end zone.......THAT IS 65 YARDS IN THE AIR!!!

Romo does not have a weak arm, trust me.
