At this point you don't need miracles you simply need players. And though it will take them time to get their body's and conditioning ready their presence will be felt. Teams will game plan for Hardy.

For those who expect this team to win despite its terrible lack of players, a miracle probably would be in order. No question about opponents game planning for Hardy. Unfortunately, Brady delivers the ball quickly enough to make it difficult for even the most talented defenders to find success. You're correct about the return of players being the key to having success, though. Things should improve significantly once Romo and Dez return. I don't think there's really any doubt about that. I also think it's likely that Cassel will take over at QB once the Pats game is in the books.

I don't think they pull Weeds unless he throws 3 picks or something in this game. He's played really well, at least for Weeds IMO. Outside of the Int and not stepping up in the pocket you can't ask a player of his caliber to play any better.

The team should avoid subjecting Cassel to his Cowboys' debut against the Pats. I just have a hunch it'll be Cassel the week following the bye, though. That would probably be the best timing for such a move, assuming it's in the cards. Like Jerry admitted recently, Weeds is limited -- so much so that I don't believe there's much choice but to make a change.

McClain is just a naturally big and country strong dude. Hopefully he can stay healthy this year, that guy is a difference maker when he's out there at full strength.

Nowadays I'm just happy if they finish the game healthy.

Me too. It's a concern I've had lately, considering the likelihood of their football conditioning being a bit lacking.

CMike needs to do something first. We know what Ro can do.

How did I know xwalker would like your response?..lmbooooo

JG needs to let CMike do something and stop coddling his 1st string scatback.

Heavier? I don't like the sound of that one bit. I remember when Von Miller tried to play "heavier and stronger." Lost his speed and then blew out his knee.

Completely different roles, Von Miller is basically a pass rusher that was used to playing at a lighter weight, Ro Mac is MLB that until last year played at a heavier weight.

I agree with this. I just don't think you go to the trouble of trading for another QB unless you eventually plan on using him. They could have easily signed Flynn if they were really confident and committed to Weeden. They didn't. They went out of their way to trade for Matt Cassel. They did that with the intention of probably having to use him at some point. You have to hand it to the personnel people, they could kind of see it turning out the way it has.

The coaches have done the best job they could keeping Weeden from being the reason we lose, but if the Cowboys lose, they will change QBs and claim it's an attempt to shake things up. I'll be honest with you, if the Cowboys do have to end up losing Sunday, I hope Weeden is at least part of the reason. He'll then be 0-4 as a starter for this team in spite of his conservatively acquired statistics. A change will have to be made just because of the record alone, but if he struggles, at least the change will be more justified. If we win on Sunday, then he'll certainly earn at least a couple more starts.

Does this mean Jesus will be there at the goal line this Sunday?

Well, Texas probably has higher Hispanic population than other states. Chances are someone there is named Jesus.

I see Belichek using the no-huddle offense generously to thwart Marinelli from making his normal substitutions. That might make it extra difficult for our pass rush to be effective as the game wears on. Pretty sure they'll attempt stacking the box like other teams have done so effectively until our starters and C-Mike demonstrate an ability to be effective. It should prove an interesting chess match in that respect.

We'll see if Linehan allows Weeden some additional freedom to go downfield in this game. I suspect he may be forced to do so, if for no other reason than simply to keep up with Brady and the Pats offense. It should be intriguing to see how we fare on both sides of the ball.

For people concerned about his weight... I'm sure it'll come down as he practices more with the team and does more conditioning work. Not that he hasn't been working out on his own but nothing gets you in better game shape than actual live practice/games.

Matt Cassell is such a perfect quarterback and has no limitations. He's got such a great arm and has thrown a staggering 6.6 yards per completion in his career and so efficient has a league high 80 QB rating for his career and so accurate he has a completion percentage of 59.

Dallas must start Cassell!
