Completely different roles, Von Miller is basically a pass rusher that was used to playing at a lighter weight, Ro Mac is MLB that until last year played at a heavier weight.

Yes, but the point is the same. I've heard this kind of stuff from players at various positions -- they're going to get bigger so they can handle the punishment better. Yeah, that never works. Lighter is better. Period. The rest is just dead weight.

Heavier? I don't like the sound of that one bit. I remember when Von Miller tried to play "heavier and stronger." Lost his speed and then blew out his knee.

Kind of felt the same way when I heard about this. As long as he has not lost too much quickness and speed, I'm ok with it. We'll see what he looks like.

Matt Cassell is such a perfect quarterback and has no limitations. He's got such a great arm and has thrown a staggering 6.6 yards per completion in his career and so efficient has a league high 80 QB rating for his career and so accurate he has a completion percentage of 59.

Dallas must start Cassell!

I don't seem to recall ever suggesting Cassel is a perfect QB nor the possessor of a great arm. In truth, there isn't too much difference between the two, other than Cassel having a higher winning percentage. He also has had 4 times as many starts as Weeden, who I believe has never won a game he's started. Dallas got Cassel and traded a 5th round pick for him for a reason. They will be allowed to compete. Don't be too surprised if Dallas decides to supplant Weeden with Cassel if he continues to lose. If not, rest assured you have nothing to worry about.

I'm with you. I'm not expecting a huge impact from McClain this week. In fact, I'm not expecting him to play all that many snaps in his first week back. I think he'll be strictly a first and second down guy and not be on the field for any obvious passing situations. However hard he may have worked, you don't get in football shape until you're playing football.

Hardy on the other hand, should be a bigger factor as he did go through the preseason stuff, and I think his mere oresence out there will not only force teams to adjust their blocking, but his attitude should lift up his teammates play as well.

Agreed. I'm encouraged that our pass rush may improve enough to offer a problem for most teams. Whether it's improved enough to pose a threat to Brady's performance remains to be seen. That quick release he has poses a problem for many teams. Hopefully, we'll manage to show enough to at least rattle him to some extent. Exactly how much we're able to find success doing so will be determined come Sunday. Let's just hope we surprise them as well as ourselves in the process.
