I live here in knoxville, tn and of course the entire town is obsessed with Peyton. I have seen him multiple times and spoke to him once while going to UT games on Colts bye weeks. He has brought Jeff Saturday, Dallas Clark, etc to some games.

Anywho, a friend works in the ad office and is spot on with letting me know about recruiting, etc. Peyton is still a big part of UT athletics and word is the cowboys are in talks with colts about a trade for him. Now my friend thinks the colts will ask for to much but if we could get him and then trade romo for some picks/players I would be fine with it. Again he thinks Colts will ask for to much but it is interesting

There is no way this is happening. Romo is NOT the problem. He's the only reason we were .500. Why would we give up picks for a guy whose head will literally fall off after spending 2 pass plays behind our offensive line?

Edit: Please don't take this personally, and I thank you for sharing information that you know. The offseason would be boring if people didn't share insider information. I'm just really having a hard time seeing this happen. If it does happen, I might just lose all faith in this franchise.

I don't know. What would Peyton cost? A little skeptical here.

But we will see.

If Peyton would agree to redo his contract at half his salary that would at least get the logistics of the deal out of the way..............

I wouldnt take Peyton over Romo at this point. People are worried about Peyton ever playing again at all, and even if he does he'd get killed behind our offensive line. He's almost 5 years older than Romo and has obvious injury concerns.

Again he doesnt think it will happeb and nor do I. Just wanted to let you all know was floatingaround the Tennessee athletic department. He also said Peyton would have to do sone restructuring as well.

nonsense

Jerry would give up a boatload for a 35-year-old with neck injuries who may not be able to play much longer, if at all.

The trade would ironically hamstring our efforts to improve the Oline IMO.

Also we have much more to worry about if after the Giants game one of the positions we're looking to "upgrade" is our QB position.

Peyton won't help us out here. Romo has played fantastically for the majority of this season.

Thanks for the insider info, but I don't know about this one. At this point in Manning's career, I think we would be better off with Romo if we just improve the O-line.

Can you imagine Peyton Manning behind this line?

LOL.

Part of Romo not being in a body bag is his ability to move in and out of the pocket. Manning would be dust by Week 3.

No kidding. If his neck isn't already shot, it certainly would be after five games here.

we are talking about Jerry, so I'd say there's a 50/50 chance.

Peyton makes everyone around him play better. Dallas would be lucky to get him.
