FYI--Peyton Manning

Yep, it's the offseason alright.

Peyton makes everyone around him play better. Dallas would be lucky to get him.

I agree. We would benefit by having a real QB "coach" for a change. Peyton would have been sacked 11+ times had be been a "player" last night.

lol yeah we're going to replace romo coming off of the best season of his career.

I live here in knoxville, tn and of course the entire town is obsessed with Peyton. I have seen him multiple times and spoke to him once while going to UT games on Colts bye weeks. He has brought Jeff Saturday, Dallas Clark, etc to some games.

Anywho, a friend works in the ad office and is spot on with letting me know about recruiting, etc. Peyton is still a big part of UT athletics and word is the cowboys are in talks with colts about a trade for him. Now my friend thinks the colts will ask for to much but if we could get him and then trade romo for some picks/players I would be fine with it. Again he thinks Colts will ask for to much but it is interesting

He'd be overpaid at center and I don't think Manning's neck could take it.

Your friend is high. Help him.

I honestly wouldnt trade away Romo either. Would rather see all spent on dbs and ol but this guy knows his stuff and it is Jerry we are talking about. Again he did say he didnt think it would happen

My guess as to what happened:

Bill Polian: "Hey Jim, my son Chris and I were talking, and well, instead of drafting Luck, we should trade Manning to the Cowboys for Romo."

Jim Irsay: "You're fired."

Can you imagine Peyton Manning behind this line?

LOL.

Part of Romo not being in a body bag is his ability to move in and out of the pocket. Manning would be dust by Week 3.
Not really. Peyton gets rid of the ball quick. Romo is indecisive.

There is a 0% chance of this rumor being true.

A. Tony Romo just had the best year of his career.

B. Peyton is coming off a neck surgery that some believe he should not even try.

C. Peyton's Salary and Romo's salary even if traded equals salary cap hell.

D. The cost to acquire him in draft picks is just too high.

not even peyton could get it off that quick

Yeah, I'm sure the Cowboys are trying to trade for Payton. Further proof that people who claim to have inside info are mostly full of it.

Yeah this is bullcrap.

Trade talks for Peyton with the Cowboys?

Sure.

Cowboys: How about Newman for Manning straight up?
Colts: :lmao: Click.
Cowboys: Hello? Hello? I guess that means no.

lmao!!!!

Coming off neck issues and behind this O-line? lmao!!!!!

You think the O-Line is bad now? Wait till you put a statue, instead of an athletic, QB back there!!

Whoever nominated a thread for worst of the year already should really have waited a little longer for this one.

Apparently you haven't watched the circus that is our O-line and the way we playcall here.

Manning wouldn't be doing anything except getting hit...a lot. And then he'd be done and out for the year by halftime of week 2.
