Gailey out as Chiefs offensive coordinator

The 3 worst hires this off season so far seem to be Josh McDaniels, Scott Pioli (yes, I said it), and Eric Mangini.

Pioli is doing pretty poorly there in his first year. He goes and trades for Matt Cassel, a QB whose talent is questionable to begin with, then gives him a big fat $60 million contract. To protect his investment, he pulls a Jerruh and completely ignores the offensive line in the draft and Cassel gets smacked and hurts his knee in the preseason.

Scott Pioli was shielded by the talent that is Tom Brady. It was clear when he went to the Chiefs and brought in Vrabel (good about 5 to 6 years ago) and Matt Cassel (worst red zone QB last year and best beneficiary of a good team of all time) that he didn't have any earthly idea what he was doing.

If he was a good GM, he would've went after Jeff Garcia to try and get a veteran presence in Kansas City to stave off the losing for one more season before going for Sam Bradford or Tim Tebow in next year's draft.

And yes, I still believe Tebow has what it takes to be a great NFL quarterback.

With the Chargers getting six games against the Raiders, Chiefs and Broncos, will they maybe just send half the team to save on travel expenses?

No kidding.

I don't ever recall a weaker division than that. The Broncos, Chiefs and Raiders will all be brutally bad this season.

Norval has no excuse.

I don't disagree. McDaniels was on SportCenter last night and my wife about fell off the couch when I told her who that was. She said he sounded like a idiot.

I do wish Gailey well.

Was he wearing his Bellicheat hoodie?

Neither does Dallas since they face those same teams this season. They can't get caught over looking those games.

and spends the 3rd pick overall on a guy who is probably a borderline 1st rd talent

We don't get to play each one of them twice though, sadly.

I've noticed a theme there...

Of all the coaches we didn't retain, Haley is the guy I wish we would have hired as HC. This guy has some fire to him.
