He can't throw himself the ball. At least twice against the Lions he was WIDE open. Not the first game that has happened either.

12 targets outside Lamb and Cooks in that game. 6 of those were to Ferg. 3 to Pollard so that leaves just 3 for everyone else.
That may be true but he brought that on himself because he's been so inconsistent, I think Prescott doesn't have faith in him anymore...

however I am saying like I already said about 10 posts ago we will need him in the playoffs I like the veteran presence there's an injury or he will get that look there'll be guys covered and I think Michael Gallup will have a catcher too like he usually does a 50-50 ball or a sideline ball that's going to help this team that's why you keep them on the active roster and playing every game because he's going to make that one play like Ty Hilton he's gonna make that much necessary veteran play that I don't trust tolbert or brooks to do..

Gallup unfortunately is done it looks like. Pollard is going to be best served going back to his role from last year.

But that comes down to finding a true #1 RB and is it financially possible to bring TP back in that type of role.

If not he’s gone.

Gallup just is not getting open, and he has not been reliable. I hate to say it because I really liked Gallup before his injury. Gallup seems to make those contested catches and the ones on the sideline where is miraculously gets his feet down. But when it comes to making run of the mills plays, he drops the ball. Big disappointment. One of several for Dallas this year.

Pollard has lost a step. That play against Miami was a tell-tale sign. Before his injury, he turns on the jets and runs to the pylon without being touched. Maybe he comes back faster next year, but who knows?

At the same time, the Cowboys blocking up front has been horrible. How many ties did Pollard get hit behind the LOS or right at the LOS on Saturday? No RB can beat that kind of poor blocking. Something is wrong with the offensive line. I don't know if it is the line coach or what but they have gone downhill this year run blocking.

I hope MM tries something to get Gallup more involved. I feel like it can't be all Lamb, Ferguson, and occasional Cooks. Maybe a Wr bubble screen, or a jet sweep, to at least make the defense remember he's on the field. As far as Pollard, I feel he just runs the play as called. It's like he's not using his natural instincts as a Rb to run to daylight. Now that being said, the O-line has to do a better job of getting a push and opening holes for TP.
I say yay to getting Pollard more designed plays in space like screens and nay to getting Gallup more. He just hasn't seperated well and now is losing snaps to Tolbert. I still think Gallup carries value this season as a deep threat that can make contested catches, but I just can't see building game plans specific for Gallup.

For Pollard he's not getting good blocking and doesn't look as decisive or quick with his cuts as he did in limuted space. Waiting for him to breakout and think he still can, but need to find different ways to get him going.

Pollard not putting that ball in the endzone a couple games ago tells me everything I need to know.
Facts. Pollard can go. He may go somewhere else and regain the chip on his shoulder. Right now he is running like meh.
Yeah the oline blocking is trash and needs to be figured out too.

They could have initially but not long term. Cooper was making way too much for the Cowboys to afford both him and a new deal for Lamb (whenever that will be).

That's why Dallas let him go to Cleveland for only a late pick. The Browns were willing to take Coop's contract off Dallas' hands.

You feed the playmakers.

Luckily we got quite a few not named Gallup or Pollard. We need to address the RB room in the offseason.
Need to address who the line coach is gonna be as Solari isn't cutting it. Then address the oline and get players in here who can run block as well as pass block in the blocking scheme by the new coach. Tony Pollard will then be fine.

Dak couldn't ignore Gallup any more intentionally if you gave him a #19 jersey
with "Cooper" on the back.

I know my old school zoners remember Preston Pearson. I wish TP was used more often like him. MM does try to get him involved in the pass game sometimes without much success. Maybe look at the tape of Landry's scheme using Preston? Ummm...Gallop. Man this dude is feast or famine. We all can admit that he has made some incredible catches but he is not consistent and has lack of separation issues. I would like to see more of Tolbert for sure.

It actually can be all or mostly Lamb since he is our difference maker. You never take the ball out of the hands of your best players if you can help it.
