I think he is still some time away. It looked to me like he is not completely confident in the knee just yet.
6 months ais all you need to stat running full speed etc 9 months to fully heal and get confidence but with these guys having the best trainers, docs, and PT schedule easily can be back in the 6-9 month time frame as everyone's different.
I had this surgery at 48 years old I wakeboard ie do flips spins and tricks, snowboard, cable board ie jump off kickers and rails.. that was in 2018 and in 6months i was back up riding and at nine with brace to this day full go with no setbacks and i only do 5 total PT appointments and then did ti on, mine own. so im was old(52 now)didn't follow the PT schedule and didn't have access to all these guys have. Please dont well me extreme sports isnt hard on the body and knees especially my age and as it not Pro football..i realize that but again his young age and access the the very best PT etc.. Easily he can get back sooner than fans expect

I have no doubt he can physically heal in 6 to 9 months. My comment was whether he is mentally ready to play football on the healed knee. It looked to me in the single clip he might lack a little confidence in the healing process, which is normal. I won't say he was limping exactly, but it looked like he was thinking about the knee as he walked.

I don't expect him week 1 but I think he will be back before week 4.
Sounds reasonable.

I think if the team is playing well early on they may error on the side of giving him a little more time.

One thing to be fair about is that coming back is one thing, but he may be a tick slower for a little while, and/or slightly off on timing with Dak....which would be understandable.

Even though the team may not say so. But if he is on the initial 53. He will be back in less than 4 games.
If he stays on PUP, it is a minimum of 4.

Which is why I was happy to hear he was running routs and having Dak throwing him the ball. The rehab is the toughest part and while there is a certain mental aspect he must over come, I don't think any of us are in a position to know what his mental state is.

Exactly and everyone is different. Wouldn't surprise me if I took him until next season to be more than 90%, nor would it surprise me if he is the same guy by October.

He never really relied on pure speed, so I'd think he will be what we are expecting sooner than later.

+1 .....keep in mind they could initially have him on snap count before he is fully able to start. In other words, perhaps he can play by week two or three, just not a full game.

Not looking to crown anyone, as far as Houston goes he is doing what he must do. He is running the routs correctly and being where he needs to be. I don't think Houston progress diminishes the need this team has for Gallup. Fact is Dallas needs these young guys to get up to speed if they hope to have a successful WR core.
