I have no doubt he can physically heal in 6 to 9 months. My comment was whether he is mentally ready to play football on the healed knee. It looked to me in the single clip he might lack a little confidence in the healing process, which is normal. I won't say he was limping exactly, but it looked like he was thinking about the knee as he walked.

I think that you are right. I had ACL surgery and I swear that 90% of it was mental. It has been 7 years now and I still kinda "baby" that knee at times, when I am doing something physical.

The best news thus far heading into the new season. "For the first time in over seven months, Michael Gallup was running routes and catching balls from quarterback Dak Prescott. That was just one development Thursday as the Cowboys practiced for the second day in a row as guests of the Los Angeles Chargers.

One man looking to benefit from Gallup’s absence made the play of the day on the very last snap of scrimmage, an offensive lineman took a rather offensive shot to the face during the day’s work, the kickers took turns on the skinny goalpost, and the league’s interception leader gave a rave review of one of this year’s rookie DBs."

Has anyone told Gallup that Houston took his job yet?
Maybe we should watch Houston play a real game first?

In the history of undrafted freeagent wideouts, you have Drew Pearson, Wes Welker and only a few other relevant ones. So you're saying he's gonna be Drew Pearson? lol

I'll go ahead and double down and say Dennis Houston is on jockstrap laundry duty by week 8!

I'm not expecting Gallup back until the 1st week of November. He's already said he's not playing week 1. He's probably gonna have to practice fully for at least two weeks before they make him active again. I'm thinking he's probably not gonna practice full until sometime in Mid October. The training staff won't rush him back.

He doesn't know his limits yet, so it's normal to be vigilant.

we call that a ghost limp,

your body all this time was limping but after you heal, the limp stays with you for a while. Like a spasm..it goes away. Trust me 5 knee surgeries..
