I could never look at the 1st game, the debut of the season - to be a trap for a team relaxing to their opposition, but I've been surprised before...

And the Panthers should never be considered a Trap game, right now.

I think you’re being generous. A few days ago I looked at every other NFCE teams schedule and I’d be surprised if the Gnats won more than 1, max 2 games out of their first 8.

Vander Esch along with Jaire Alexander were probably players at the edge of the first round cliff. I would have had no issue with taking Moore at 19.

Panthers D got our number,they know what we want to do on Offense and they can shut us down completely,the only way we win this is if our D shows up in a big way.

They do? Heck we haven’t played them in how long, and that was when Tony came back too soon from a broken clavicle and we were pretty well banged up elsewhere also.

they are an unknown but
they have a very good receiving group, a very good tightend, a prob very good runningback, they worked on their oline including drafted a good guard (the guy many thought Dallas would pick -Will Hernandez) and Nate Solder
they still have a potentially very good defense with the all pro safety and guys like Jenkins, their front on defense still has Damon Harrison and edge rushers plus they picked up Alec Ogletree
they have as good or better talent than Dallas other than oline which is way worse
Eli is gonna Eli but when hes having a good game he can move the ball

also they are a division rival and on that great 2016 run the only 2 teams Zeke struggled to move the ball against were the Eagles and Giants (maybe Vikings? cant remember)
last year they were the worst theyve been in a long time
but they have a new coach and a respected GM -im not worried about them, but its different and bound to be better than Loyd Christmas
they are not last years team

No theyll be better but I dont see them being a great team. That offense has been trash for 2 years and the defense was in the bottom of the league last year. Theyll be an ok team. I wouldnt put them down as a top 20 team honestly.

thats why they concern me
because Loyd was awful and had a very good defense, lots of talent and he wasted it
hopefully Shurmur is just as terrible

Let me see. IF Carolina already have oline, secondary issues its all the better..They were hurting there before the season as they didnt get much help on the oline in the draft..

Only Thing that concerns me is Norv pulling some stuff and their D..However if Dallas can stifle their offense, And Dak plays close to the vest, and we show Carolinas D what a running game is, i think we beat em...Last time we played em it was over almost as soon as it began..Tony was on pain killers!!lol

Agreed, im counting on the league not taking the Cowboys seriously and not knowing our tendencies for at least 4-5 games..Further Dallas needs to get a solid start and get the Ws before the second half of the season!

ZEKE owned em last year, and Dak did what he wanted...They dont have much on the defense and their offense is Still weak..They got soldier and Hernandez on their off line and not much else..
