That's true. But none of that mattered when he took the field with the ball first in OT. Just like in the SB against the Falcons. The probability of the Patriots winning in that situation was probably north of 90%.

Did you see the runs the Patriots were running to get Edelman open on those third downs? Those subtle brushes with the underneath WRs gave Edelman just enough space to get open on the inside route. That’s coaching par excellence.

Every time they need a play, they somehow come up with the perfect call.
