He was better than adequate. Busted plays and questionable play calling all night.

He was our leading rusher for crying out loud.

His scrambling was the best we’ve seen in awhile
The pass protection was horrendous. Dak made most of his best plays under duress and free lancing.

He played very well tonight.

The one knock I have on Dak in this game is taking sacks he didn't need to take...and that horrible throw to...sorry, not to Pollard in the end zone. Oh yeah, he threw one too hard and high for Gallup in the end zone too.

But I like that he was running pretty well tonight. I hope he does that more often, so defenses think twice about rushing him.

This place is so much better after a win, save for the few folks who refuse to enjoy anything or are overly-committed to their agenda.

If you can't even enjoy a win, why be a fan in the first place? That's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
Love you Jake

I’m never going to apologize for a loss. Wish everyone was on board with that.

Another 0 turnover game from Dak, even though he had zero run game and was running for his life for much of the game.

He was outstanding overall.

Here are my 3 game balls for Cowboys at Chargers.

  1. Dak Prescott - I ripped on him during the week for his performance against the 49ers (as much as it hurt me to do so). So, it's only fair that I give him the first game ball for this game. He played a marvelous game today. His TD run and the ball to Cooks was fantastic!! He was deadly accurate when throwing to Lamb and Cooks! I want more of this please!! Well done Dak!! Brilliant performance!
  2. Micah Parsons - Clutch sack late in the game, and his pressure late set up the game winning interception. That's how you build a legacy for becoming DPOY! Well done to Micah Parsons!
  3. Brandon Aubrey - we have found our new Dan Bailey. He's an absolute assassin on field goals. It's nice to know we can rely on him for field goals when we need them.
Tough game, ugly game, but a win. On MNF. And we are 4-2 (where I figured us) at the bye. Not a bad way to do it. A nice little bounce back win from the 49ers game. Lots to clean up, but it's probably more fun to clean things up after a win. Tough game coming against the Rams, but at least the Cowboys can get healthy and should have ample time to prep for them.
Here’s my 3 game balls.
1. Dak. I’m not a Dak fan but he played great tonight considering the offensive line couldn’t block my mom. Seriously the offensive line was atrocious and Dak made things happen.
2. Micah. Big players make big plays. When they got the ball with 2:00 minutes remaining I had this sick feeling they were going to get a walk off TD to win. Micah’s sack was the play of the game. Then his pressure on Herbert lead to Gilmore’s pick. Money plays right there.
3. Bell. For a 2nd year guy he’s been a gem. Very timely plays. A big TFL in the running game and big hits.

Honorable mentions:
Lamb. Good game. Lots of catches and 0 pouts.
Aubry. Dude’s a star
Bland. Nice pass break ups. Almost had 2 more picks. He needs to catch those.

Not sure game ball, but big props. His game wasn't perfect, but definitely played really well, but to be a debbie downer, we were against an awful D. He needs to play this way against a touch D, then the ball is his. 3 deserves a game ball, hopefully his coming out party
Might be an awful D he played against, but our O line played like they were a combination of every great defense there ever has been.

I agree. When the Cowboys win, it should be a joyous occasion.

Agree.

Last week, you were posting "what are we going to do about QB now"... as if there was any other reasonable option.

Yeah, might have been an overreaction. I was just really upset with how little fight the team showed last week. They fought this game.
