The one knock I have on Dak in this game is taking sacks he didn't need to take...and that horrible throw to...sorry, not to Pollard in the end zone. Oh yeah, he threw one too hard and high for Gallup in the end zone too.

But I like that he was running pretty well tonight. I hope he does that more often, so defenses think twice about rushing him.

In fairness, Gallup had a lousy game imo. I might make a thread about that, but he was struggling to catch the ball this game. And he cost us an interception last week.

Bell is starting to figure out the LB position. Dude can lay the wood and shows really good instincts against the run.

Another excellent UDFA find by Will McClay and company.
Bell is only good if untouched. We need a linebacker who can shed and tackle.

Agree.

Last week, you were posting "what are we going to do about QB now"... as if there was any other reasonable option.
I did not say much last week. Probably nothing about Dak. That said, just because I don't believe he is the answer does not mean I would not give him credit for a game like that.

That was a very good game by him. Making plays like that make you worth the big bucks. The way he normally plays does not make him worth a big contract!

This

He had probably the best game i saw him play all year
still mad he couldve had two ints, but great otherwise.

Dak was annoying sometimes sitting in the pocket waaaaay too long but luckily something just clicked and he started becoming amazing on his feet and most of our big plays were him making something out of nothing.
That pass to cooks in the endzone is top 10 for me of his throws. Reminded me of that pass he threw to Beasley a few years back vs the giants.
Which is why i keep saying he should just call his own plays and ignore MM like romo did with Garrett

It honestly looked to me like Dak was throwing like he was mad at MG. The passes were going near him, but not too him, and with more velocity than they should have had on most of them.

I will just give it to Dak That’s the way you are supposed to play Qb in the NFL. One of his best games IMO

Here are my 3 game balls for Cowboys at Chargers.

  1. Dak Prescott - I ripped on him during the week for his performance against the 49ers (as much as it hurt me to do so). So, it's only fair that I give him the first game ball for this game. He played a marvelous game today. His TD run and the ball to Cooks was fantastic!! He was deadly accurate when throwing to Lamb and Cooks! I want more of this please!! Well done Dak!! Brilliant performance!
  2. Micah Parsons - Clutch sack late in the game, and his pressure late set up the game winning interception. That's how you build a legacy for becoming DPOY! Well done to Micah Parsons!
  3. Brandon Aubrey - we have found our new Dan Bailey. He's an absolute assassin on field goals. It's nice to know we can rely on him for field goals when we need them.
Tough game, ugly game, but a win. On MNF. And we are 4-2 (where I figured us) at the bye. Not a bad way to do it. A nice little bounce back win from the 49ers game. Lots to clean up, but it's probably more fun to clean things up after a win. Tough game coming against the Rams, but at least the Cowboys can get healthy and should have ample time to prep for them.
Mikah Parsons faced double or triple teamed all night. D-Law also played hard and performed. But some other DL just disappeared.

Moving up and out of the pocket is a skill Dak has not shown much through his career. He usually goes backwards out of the pocket.

Bland has been a terrific find. I don't follow college ball, so I have NO idea why he was available when he was. But, man, what a find. He's a baller. Losing someone like Diggs is heartbreaking. Having someone like Bland able to step in is a real boon.

My game ball goes to Kelen Moore. His offense could not have played much worse. Hats off to him.

This place is so much better after a win, save for the few folks who refuse to enjoy anything or are overly-committed to their agenda.

If you can't even enjoy a win, why be a fan in the first place? That's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Right, if none of these wins count or matter, just wait for the playoffs. Why even watch until then? They can't enjoy a regular season victory, but they sure can marinate in a loss. It's ridiculous

He was adequate. He wasn't fantastic.
LMAO!! He accounted for both TD's and Gallup dropped on. You give a game ball to Lamb but who threw him the ball? Wow you Anti-Dak Cult members here need to take off your Dak hater glasses every once in a while.

Bland and Bell. If a third goes out has to go to Dak with some of the key throws he made and using legs to get out of some things.
