Game Day Menu

First game!!! Been on a diet and light workout plan for the last 3 months. My doctor told me every 5 pounds I lose, takes 100 pounds of stress off my knees and back, lost 28 pounds, feel pretty good, so being a night game gonna keep it light. Wife is making a fruit, meat and cheese thing. The fancy ones around here call it a charcuterie board, I call it meat, cheese and fruit on a paper plate. Either way, Go Cowboys and Salud!!!
Funny enough, we are having the same thing. It includes prosciutto, burrata cheese, arugula, toast, salami, nuts, etc.

Three friends and I just got back yesterday from horse back riding in the foothills of Sandia Mountian and we killed two rattlesnakes along the way.

Around four o'clock we are going to grill them up with some corn on the cob and some fried taters and a few beers. Good stuff.
They make good Jerky too!! I killed my first one with a machete when I was 12. Almost stepped on it, I froze, let him simmer down and then I chopped it's head off. It squirmed for about a minute without a head. Freaked me out, got back to camp, my uncle took it, skinned it and went town. We left a few days later, he came to town and brought us some jerky. Good stuff

I say the same thing all the time...back in the day we called it a meat n cheese platter etc.

Sounds mo better as a charcuterie board I reckon.

Go Cowboys!

well, my meal will be around 1700hrs
im too old for late night meals. :omg:

but im having pork chops in air fryer, salt potatoes (invented in syracuse) and the very last of the fresh locally grown tomatoes and cucumbers drenched in oil and vinegar. No lettuce for me.

About 30 pounds lost, times 100...that's about 3000 lbs of stress. I have a pep in my step. I was just outside for another 40 minutes with my ranch hand, walked the fence line...i had about 3200 steps. About 1 and 2/3 miles. Feel pretty good. Wanna get down another 10 to 15 pounds and the the hard part, to maintain it.
Maintaining is definitely the hard part. Beer just tastes so good when it touches the lips….

Roast veggie platter (all from our garden) with goat cheese and toasted pecans.... with a reasonably amount of sauvignon blanc

Hello fellow foodies and cowboys fans! It's good to be back for another season of Game Day and Game Day Menu feedback! Go Cowboys!

My food for today is I am in process of baking homemade sourdough loaves (one baked...one in oven currently). I went to Whole Foods this AM and bought some Chicken Salad (only was able to score Classic...out of Sonoma...boo!). So, Sourdough Chicken Salad Sandwiches with Kettle BBQ chips it is. Maybe snack on some trail mix as well.
