Game Day Rituals?

First, tell the wife to leave me alone 30 minutes before the game and if the Cowboys lose, she knows not to talk to me till the next day.

My wife is from NYC, but doesn't really know to much about football. (what do you expect she is from NY!) Last year she would root for the Giants to win when they would play the Cowboys. During the Cowboys and Giants game she told me she wanted the Cowboys to win because of that very thing. (sorta )

Strip naked and run around the backyard acting out great plays in Cowboys history. My neighbors don't care for this ritual but who cares.

You use that same ritual for everything you do.

No real rituals other than nervously watch the clock tick so slooowwwwlllly towards kickoff. One ritual I have developed is that I only get to have a beer when the cowboys score. If its a low scoring game, I allow 1 beer for each half's kickoff.

I got quite wasted on Sunday.

Same here. I don't even eat before (or during) a game, unless I'm forced to. After the game, I stay up way too late reviewing the game over and over.

i'm a nervous wreck on gameday..i can go through some beer on gamedays.

there are quite a few games throughout the years where i actually thought i was going to die of cardiac arrest.......or an anxiety attack.

but nothing......i mean nothing other than when the game is blacked out in my area has ever caused me to miss a dallas game on tv in 32 years.

i bleed blue and silver... and that's a good thing as far as i'm concerned.

I let the computer control both teams in Madden while I eat and set my lineup for fantasy...I split the screen and watch the espn pregame show...The Cowboys lost to the giants 24-21...Romo threw a int in the endzone....

Usually, I cant sleep the night before a game and have to take an Ambien. It sucks. I get so anxious and just stare at the ceiling.

I really just practice all the normal rituals.

Animal sacrifice (meat)

Drink the magic potion (beer)

And maybe even a couple of tribal dances (when we score)

There was that one beheading last year, but the dog helped ...... (stuffed Commander)

im normally working on game days so i am usually making sure the store is going good

I have never been a boxer... but I get all revved up before the game(like I am going into a title fight)... I stay pumped during the game and it takes atleast 2 hours to come down.


And like everyone else... no one can ask me to do ANYTHING for them. I am locked.
