It's really hard to judge teams in different eras, who don't play against the same opponents.

Plus, what those 1985 Bears did to quarterbacks would have half their defense suspended in today's game. Just a different era.

well they are similar in that they both beat the other teams with scheme and talent. It took the league a year to figure a way to move the ball on that 4-6.

Again though, the 85 bears are the single season greatest defense. The pats numbers so far are as good.

The 85 bears pitched two shutouts in the playoffs though and dominated the Super Bowl so the pats have a long way to go.
