I don't like how coaching managed the last Dallas score...anyone agree with me? Here's the scenario.

Dak makes the run on 3rd and 14 and gets the ball to something like the 1 ft line with about 2:20 remaining and Seattle having used all of their timeouts with the score 17-14.

What is wrong with the following:

1st: kneel down (clock runs to 2:00)
2nd: kneel down (burn 45 seconds)
3rd: kneel down (burn 45 seconds)

You now have 30 seconds remaining and Seattle doesn't have a kicker who can even kick a field goal from 10 yards out to tie the game.

So, go ahead and run it on 4th down. If you make the TD great, and if you don't...you give Seattle the ball with 99 yards to go with 30 seconds and no timeouts.

Seems like an easier win than having to recover an onside kick to win the game...in my opinion, you just don't give QBs like Brady, Rodgers, Wilson, etc...the ball with time to work.

No. You have the chance to make it a 2 score game, you have to take advantage of that.

Zero chance I want Russ with the ball and an opportunity to win, even with only 30 seconds.
So, you gave Russ the ball with 2:15 instead...with a chance to win

I thought about that at the time. But, there is no way I give the ball back with any time left on the clock with a TD beating me.

That thought crossed my mind. I think I may have taken a knee to get to the 2 minute warning. Then run it in on second down. They would have let us walk in to get the ball back. That would have given them one less play and one less timeout. But, it worked out, so good call Mr. Coach Garrett.

I disagree.

2 score game meant everything.

I see what you mean but they had no timeouts and needed a miracle to comeback from 2 scores.

Had this discussion in my head as well. I would say that when Dak landed his triple lindy at the half yard line, our win% jumped to somewhere near 95%.

But you don't count on a Defense that has allowed almost nothing the entire evening to suddenly get gashed in the deep passing game which is what happened.

Get the TD and it's nearly impossible for Seattle to win, and that's what happened.

That’s a tough call. Considering Seattle’s kicker was out of the game, I probably would have ran as much time off the clock then tried to score on 4th down.

As good as our D played, Seattle’s last drive was inexcusable. We can never make things easy!!

Getting stopped on 1st Down would not have been a horrible thing but you can't screw around and mess up the TD

RWilson was getting the ball back at some point and the lead needed to be more than 8 ..... he just always pulls big plays out of his butt

Always take the TD. Non-prevent D would have ended the game early.

I would imagine the chances of Seattle winning the game down by 10 points with 2:06 left and no timeouts, is the same as down 3 with 30 seconds left and 99 yards to go.

I mean in the scenario that you give, all it would take is a few missed tackles for the Seahawks to win.....

Either way the cowboys chance to win is likely 99%

If it is inside 2 min warning, kneel down is the right call.
In that situation, you score TD, no doubt.

They played it right except whatever the defense was doing on that long pass. At that point, you give them 8-10 yard chunks to eat clock but you can’t give up a 60 yard play.

Especially to their #1 guy....... Double team him
