I don't like how coaching managed the last Dallas score...anyone agree with me? Here's the scenario.
Dak makes the run on 3rd and 14 and gets the ball to something like the 1 ft line with about 2:20 remaining and Seattle having used all of their timeouts with the score 17-14.
What is wrong with the following:
1st: kneel down (clock runs to 2:00)
2nd: kneel down (burn 45 seconds)
3rd: kneel down (burn 45 seconds)
You now have 30 seconds remaining and Seattle doesn't have a kicker who can even kick a field goal from 10 yards out to tie the game.
So, go ahead and run it on 4th down. If you make the TD great, and if you don't...you give Seattle the ball with 99 yards to go with 30 seconds and no timeouts.
Seems like an easier win than having to recover an onside kick to win the game...in my opinion, you just don't give QBs like Brady, Rodgers, Wilson, etc...the ball with time to work.
