Here are some thoughts on the game last night.

1. I know ware hasn't got any sacks and teams chip him from tiem to time but was his stinger in the TB game more seriosu than what everyone thinks? He doesn't seem to have the same push that he used to and I see that he is wearing a neck support under his shoulder pads? Anyone else seeing the same thing?

2. I know Houck took some justified criticism last year for the OL's poor play but he has these guys dialed in right now. They are absolutely killing people in the running game and pass blocking has been solid as well. On the play that Romo got called for Intentional Grounding, both of the RB's picked up the same blitzer and left the other guy with a clear shot.

3. I understand that Newman didn't play well last week and his play has been questioned recently. But he was solid last night against Steve Smith, who is one of the quickest/fastest WR's in the game that was no doubt a big part of their game plan going into the game. Undoubtedly after watching what the Ginats WR's did to us last week they wanted to get him the ball. Yes, he had Safety help over the top, but he was solid. Good to see.

4. This Butler kid may just end up being the bookend pass rush guy we need. Yes, he was getting some fresh snaps late in the game but he was beating a yound/solid tackle in Otah. That was great to see. Great motor on this kid.

5. I am pretty disappointed in Marty B. I know when Romo looked to him last night the throws were to good at all but he appears to be disinterested in a hurry when things go south. I still think he needs to mature a little bit.

6. We might have the best blocking WR's in the NFL. All of these guys can block and they take a great deal of pride in getting physical with the oposing DB's.

7. I would like to see Witten down the seem more. These little 6-8 yard routes are great to keep the chains moving but he has good enough speed to get down the field.

8. Ratlif is a beast. He is too quick for the interior linemen to handle and is still strong enough to hold up against the running attack. In only his 5th year, he has a chance to be special. Best player on the field last night for the Cowboys IMO.

Not a great performance last night but a good team finds a way to beat a bad team even though things aren't going well. Our OL is really playing well, and if they can continue, our offense will score points on anyone.

Bring on the Broncos.
