Never seen the show, but read all the books except for the last one because of all the horrible reviews. That was really disappointing because I was looking forward to the conclusion, but according to the reviews it still doesn't end after 5 books.

These next couple of seasons will be based off of what's probably the best book in the series. So if you haven't read the books, brace yourself for a lot of drama and (bitter) heartbreak.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! CANNOT WAIT! This has the potential to be the best season so far. The book content they have to work with is amazing!

If you've read Feast for Crows (4th book) and liked it, you will like the 5th book just fine. 4 and 5 are really just 1 big book (originally planned as one).

Got my mom into this TV show and she is in love with it. She hasn't read the books though. Definitely going to be watching a few choice episodes with her this season just to get her reaction .
Reactions on .. that one episode.. going to be epic (book readers know exactly which episode I'm talking about)

Easy -- you watch GOT live and after watch TWD, because it has commercials you need to forward through.

Interesting. Kind of the same thing with Walking Dead, sort of.

As for me, someone recommended GoT books to me but at the same time recommended the Sword of Truth series by Goodkind. I found Wizard's First Rule (Sword) first and dived in, and am well into those series of books, With GoT on the backburner, waiting next....
