Game rigging conspiracy

wow that was obvious? If this happened to cowboys this board would go nuts!
it is getting bad and obvious that the nfl is rigging games, they evidently wanted steelers to win that game. money bet on game, or they want steelers in playoffs.

What you get when you have part time officials. The NFL is the ONLY sports league that does not have full time officials.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it's my understanding the penalty was for taunting........you decide but to stare down the opposing team's bench is a no, no in today's game.

There is no way in hell the NFL is rigging anything, that is ridiculous. Yes bad calls but nothing is being rigged.

Think about it...

Some NFL honchos call the refs in to tell him who wins the game tonight, come on, hahahaha!!!!

Could use some younger guys out there, but games being rigged, ah...no!

Certainly seems to be the case. That was possibly the worst officiating I've seen. Considering that it's Tony Corrente who usually calls a BS game, that's saying something.

I do agree that full time referees would be helpful, but that'd be too expensive for a multibillion dollar business.
The bean counters always claim that quality control does not help the bottom line.
And so many morons in CEO positions (and NFL Commissioners) just drink the kool aid.

that is a good excuse lol, didnt look like taunting to me.
This is why they redid the taunting rule, they can call it anytime they want.

I put this on the owners.

They control the NFL and Goodell.

They can reign in problems quicker than anyone.

So busy counting money they don't realize this kind of stuff cost them fans.

That's really what it comes down to. What does the dollar say?

The refs are taking the taunting rule to a new level.

Sadly, nothing will be done about it until the season ends. Oh, but don't worry, some will explain on here why taunting is a delightful rule and why players shouldn't look at a sideline.

I'll admit, I challenged you on this rule when you first expressed your concern. But it's getting ridiculous. These refs almost look like they want to impact the result of the game. It's ridiculous.

I read a book written by an X NFL referee. He's retired now. But he was the tall black ref from years ago. He was actually an X NFL player. Played DL sparingly for the Steelers and Eagles. It was a good book but one thing alarmed me. He said he wanted to make the good calls. He looked for them. IMO they should hope no one commits fouls. These refs are looking for them. Everything made sense to me after reading that book.

I recall that, and this was what I was worried about, if you recall. Was that Mike Carey you're referring to?

I don't remember his name. The dude was like 6'5 and he was the ref that called the chop block in OT against the Giants in that game Emmitt played with a separated shoulder back in 1993.
