Hate to blame one guy, but man that play had me swearing. They didn't replay it so I really need to watch it again, but it looked like a sure sack and the effort and tackle were just so indecisive and weak! Instead Eli makes a decent play (that he just shouldn't have been able to) and flips a pass that gets them 16 yards and a first down and all the confidence and momentum in the world.

The Barber fumble was also atrocious and costly, but I thought we had total domination until that missed opportunity.

I can't remember what down that was, does anybody.

Am I overblowing that one, looked like Eli was gonna take a sack for sure and that Carpenter was dancing with him, with zero intensity. Maybe it just looked bad.

Can't blame Romo on this one. Pass blocking was quite good too. Run blocking, are we going back to way we were, which is not a good thing?

Much as Barbie needs to go, the 74 yard Jacobs play and 79 yard Hixon return were back breakers. Dont concur with your OP.

It's not all on Barbie, the defense as a whole didn't show up on that drive.Allowing 3 consecutive plays for 16 yards apiece and then allowing a
20+ yard TD reception is not good.I don't care for Barbie but the defense had issues that went beyond a single player.

You can't blame Carpenter for BEING THE ONLY ONE WITH AN ACTUAL PRESSURE ON MANNING NOT IN GARBAGE TIME.

Have you seen a weaker 6-4 255 pound LB?
Yes, his name is Bobby Carpenter, he plays LB for the Dallas Cowboys.

Wait, what was the question again?

Barber fumble was the absolute dagger. We were driving for some kind of score on that drive to close out the half. That fumble and the return by Osi changed momentum of the entire game. We had a chance to go in at halftime up 13-7, maybe 17-7.

but you can blame carpenter for MISSING THE MOTHERFRUITING SACK THAT COULD HAVE GIVEN US MOMENTUM AND PREVENTED THE GIANTS FROM SCORING.

Carpenter makes that sack and they don't get the opportunity to get 3 more 16 yard plays and into the endzone and Dallas is up 10-0 with the ball and 3 minutes left, with the other team having no confidence. It just seemed a momentum changer, wasn't like there were a bunch of other plays that went sour sure.

That one just looked like it was in the bag though and it just seemed a really unphysical finish to the play allowed Manning to make something out of nothing.

The Jacobs catch and run was a shock (decent play call or fluke), though I thought Sensabaugh was held a bit on that play. Spencer was initially at fault, but he got back into try the tackle at end, while nobody else on field was able to get over to him? Yikes.

Punt return was crap tackling which reared its head a few times today, while it had been quiet for weeks.

I don't have a clue why this guys continues to play. Possibly worst 1st round pick ever, at least in top 3.

It would be nice to see what Jason Williams could do in that nickel role.

A sack on first down doesn't give us the ball back, you know. There's nothing that says they wouldn't have gotten the first down anyway, then driven for a touchdown.

I heard Barbie is pretty strong actually. Heard the guy can supposedly bench about 250lbs 40 times..

Trouble is... I think it's those little plastic weights that come with the Barbie work out edition.

As i said in my initial post, I can't remember what down it was, but I didn't think it was first down. I'm guessing you looked it up, so then it was, BUT, that should have been a hard hit with a possible strip the way it looked to me at that one glance, instead it was a big gain and momentum boost. Granted, Eli made a play.

If it was 1st then I agree, that they could have come back and done it to us next down, but my point remains, I thought that was a weak play and a costly momentum shifter. They didn't replay it because Giant were in hurry up I believe, for whatever reason I never saw that play shown again.

Just my opinion that it started to go sour there, although there was a full half of football left sure, and we even regained the lead until another bad play with the 79 yard pass/run to Jacobs.

We've seen Romo pull plenty of rabbits out of his head on apparent sack plays too. Sometimes you just have to credit the guy for making an amazing play.

Like someone else said, at least he got there.

....but he also had a key knockdown on a TE screen to Boss, later in the game, which if completed ....Boss had a lot of room to run......that forced a punt

....as said you couldnt see the replay, maybe someone can put up a giff....for all we know Carp was knocked off of Eli by a OL or heck maybe one of our own guys.......

Its pro sports........the other team is trying also.....its not Madden

Absolutely.

That and the Barber fumble.

Just like the 07 playoff changed on Amani's catch and run, and the 47 second TD drive.
