Why breakfast sausage? Wouldn't that be better with a Italian mild sausage or some ground brat?

I make my burger patties the same way. Try it, pretty tasty. Lean beef...the breakfast sausage adds the fat and makes it nice and juicy.

I can't imagine mixing breakfast sausage with ground beef. I don't think i could even eat those two items separately on the same plate. I could eat breakfast sausage for breakfast and a burger for lunch, but not together.

It controls the moisture and is pleasing to the mouth. Sausage also can add different flavors to taste.

Yes a Italian mild sausage or a brat, but breakfast sausage will leave that funky aftertaste.
