If this was a do or die game Hurts would likely start. They probably feel they can beat the Cowboys with Minshew. He had some success against our starting defense in the season finale last year. He tossed a couple of TDs and Philly put up 26 points. They’ll attack our run defense all night.
You call a game missing Parsons and Diggs our starting defense? Minshew is a good quarterback. Probably would rank between 25 and 32 as a starter. Let’s leave it at that.

All our starters played except for them. Do you call what we currently have our starting defense with no Hankins, LVE and Anthony Brown? By the way Gardner Minshew wouldn’t rank that high or he would be a starter somewhere.

Minshew is not a bad quarterback. I was more impressed with him throwing the football then Hurts last season. Eagles can win games with him.

they would be stupid to do anything else
Yep, this way they win either way the game goes. We just need to show up and bust some heads. We have control over that part of the game if our team has the junk yard dog mentality. I don't care if we win the game or not. I just want to see us...to take a line from Pulp Fiction, "Let's get mid-evil on them"!!

I wonder what other bad words Stinky *** McCoy will say about Dak after the Cowboys take care of the beagles Christmas eve?

So...
Minshew, Willis and Heinicke as the last 3 opposing QBs for DQ's dee to face.
Not exactly a murderers row of 1st ballot HOF'S...

I would hope they are at least up to the challenge.
But again, these are the Cowboys smh

He’s definitely not a bad QB but he’s a backup for a reason. With the team the Eagles have this season they can certainly win games with him. Last season in the season finale with Minshew at QB they put up 149 yards rushing on us. Not having Diggs and Parsons didn’t play a factor because they were able to run the ball. What’s going to be problematic for the Cowboys on Christmas Eve is trying to stop Philly’s fourth ranked running game. Not having Hurts will make it a little easier but the loss of Hankins and LVE could be huge. We simply had no answers against Jacksonville via the pass or the run last week. Even our pass rush has become a concern. It will make it a lot easier for Minshew to have success if Philly can run the ball and we can’t get the defense back on track.

Honestly, I'd rank him about 28-32. Look at the time he started for the Jags, he put up some good numbers. On the right team, I think he could be a little better version of Ryan Tannehill

He’s actually a pretty cool dude, slept in his van for awhile his first year in Philly. Guitar player and try hard guy. It’s good to be a bit different…

I hate that I have to hate him now. Unfortunately, that's what he gets for being an eagle, freaking d bag.

He put up some decent numbers in Jacksonville early on but started to fall off. They obviously moved on and used the number one overall pick on a QB. Not sure I would compare him with Ryan Tannehill. Tennessee ended up trading a couple of picks for him, including a fourth rounder to make him their starter. No one wants Minshew as a starter which is why he’s a backup. However, I do think he could have a lot of success on Saturday night if our defense looks anything like it did last week. Not many teams have made backup QBs look special the past decade like the Cowboys.
