Garrett is so predictable...

I'm getting tired of the 1 yard run up the middle on second down after a first down incompletion. Like clockwork.

I came in here to post exactly this after seeing this thread title. This has been going on since he has been calling plays in 2007. It's getting ridiculous and tiresome.

And yes, no motion at all to get the defense moving around to tilt their hand. Offense if very stagnant.

Is it it just me or does anyone else kind of like seeing the play break down to see Romo scramble and do his thing? Because it seems the actual plays being designed are not working at all.

Garrett doesn't adjust well AT ALL. When something doesn't work, he keeps going to it hoping that the guys can "execute" instead of adjusting to something that might give them a chance against the defense.

Offensive line getting blown up and Romo has no time to throw his 10-15 yard routes? Welp, keep trying guys...you have to make it work because we're not gonna try any roll-outs, play action fakes, putting the WR in motion, screens, etc.

I have to agree with you here. His play calling is bad. Why not let Callahan call plays? .

You must be kidding..

Ask any Nebraska Cornhusker fan in here why the answer to that question is a big fat NO !

And if you're not satisfied with that answer, head on over to a Raiders' board and ask them.

We kept running Murray straight up the middle. When we pass our routes are so deep that it takes about 4-5 seconds to develop.

I'm wondering why can we use a rollout? Manning used it last week. Wilson also used this against us. Its a perfect play for Romo since his a mobile QB.

Why don't we do a play action? Perfect play would be on 1st down, where they are stacking the box knowing we are going to run.

We also ran 1 screen the entire game. They snuffed it out but it gained 7 yards. Why did we abandon that? Why not try it on 1st down?

I feel this team doesn't want to win. They just keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

Seems like the same offensive game plan every week. No motion, no exploiting matchups, just the same 3 or 4 play calls and hoping Romo can do his thing.

I think this team has something special in Murray...Jason needs to start gameplanning around this guy. It would only help Romo to do so.

Just disappointed overall in Jason. I think he was given this job too soon and the players like Romo, Witten and Ware are paying the price.

Bah...just venting.

Murray may be a good back. Vickers is average so far. Ear truma boy was a better blocker. The same people that tried to convince me Free was a stud may have have been wrong again.

Murray had 12 rushes. Lynch had 26. So you want us to be completely one dimensional?

My only problem with Garrett and the coaching staff in general, is that they come out so passive to start the game. This team is never, and hasn't been in the p 10 years, in attack mode. It always play with a lack of urgency, with a "we'll get them next time," attutude. They let the other team dictate to them instead of taking charge from the get go.

This team never sets tempo. It is a reactive game plan on both sides of the ball.... play clock drainage resulting in false starts or second guessing by Romo...uphill alllll day. On D it is a stubbornness that a play will be made with players that don't make many. There's zero downhill approach or edge to our competitiveness. No contempt for the opposition.

It was my fault, I was actually calling the plays telepathically today. It was amazing though, how perfect Jason was picking 'em up.....every play that was about to occur, I thought it and sure enough it happened.

Next week I'm staying out of it.

That was almost clever.

Does the ball always have to be snapped with in a micro-second of getting a delay penalty? Every offensive play Dallas runs flirts with that darn penalty. Is Garrett's terminology that complicated that it requires the full 30 seconds to get the play ran:mad:

If Garrett gives up playcalling, he is essentially telling Jerry he can't do the job he was hired to do. It won't happen. The day JG gives up playcalling is the day he is fired as head coach.
Well to be fair, he's never been good at that job.

Philosophically, I think he's very good. But the guy just has 0 hutzpah.

Done with this bum. The only reason Jerry has stuck with him is because he didnt want to make the same mistake he made with Payton.

And it's pretty clear Gingerhead is nowhere near the level he is.

Hopefully we're done with him when this team finishes 8-8 or 9-7 again.

8-8 or 9-7 might only encourage him. To ensure Garrett is out of here, this thing needs to go off the rails.

Considering this is year 3 of the Garrett regime and he is barely over .500, I would say him calling the plays really hasnt amounted to jack.

Seriously, we could have hired any one of a dozen HCs if the goal was to be .500.

Funny I seem to have the same telepathic powers as you do. But for some reason it only works with the Cowboys. Even with teams that are more underpowered than ours, my telepathic powers don't work. I wonder why.....

We really don't do anything sophisticated like play action pass, man in motion, counter plays, etc.

When you consider the fact that we have Demarco Murray at RB and the amount of pressure that play action puts on the linebackers, I am shocked that we rarely run it. Does anyone have any idea as to why we don't?

Because it may work, and make it easier for Romo to make plays!

The offense simply just looked unorganized, and I don't understand how that's possible. Romo seemed like he wasn't sure where to go with the ball at times, trying to squeeze it to the tight ends far too much.

No slants, no swing passes, the deep passes were floating all over the place. The defense seemed like it could not figure out if they were running or passing the ball. Who scouted this team?
Seattle ran ran and ran some more, even though it didn't work most of the time. Patience
