To hell with Garrett needing time... Garrett has ten plus years on Mcdaniel, and Mcdaniel never played a down of NFL football. He had his star QB go down, and still made a scrib QB the hot commodity of NFL free-agency.

McDaniel got 100 plus cathes out of wes Walker, taking advantage of the double-teams that Moss was getting, but Garrett couldn't get jack out Crayton, who faced LBs as a 3rd receiver. Garrett had way more weapons then this guy, and Garrett coached like a scrib, plain and simple.

I hope Jerry grows some balls and fires this clown, because he is straight garbage.

No matter how much we bicker and ***** about Garrett. He is the Offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys. Im not wasting my time to argue about how bad he sucks. Im just going to wait and see how the season unfolds.

McDaniel worked his way up to where he is by impressing one of the greatest minds in football and proving him correct on the field. Garrett, not so much.

Who knew the Dallas Cowboys were the minor leagues of the NFL where unqualified, inexperienced wanna-be amateur coaches come to cut their teeth to learn their craft until they're properly potty trained and ready to put on their big boy pants and be a real NFL coach. Evidently this franchise has become NFL junior college.

All I got to say is that if Garrett proceeds to ruin Tony Romo he'll go down as my all time most hated Cowboy coach. I never thought I could hate anyone worse than Barry Switzer, but Garrett could actually pull it off if he succeeds in ruining Romo.

I see where you're going with this and agree with it. By the time Garrett "develops" we'll be cycling through to the next batch of young budding starts and truly rebuilding... Zero playoff wins this decade and we keep Wade as HC while we wait for Garrett to "develop"... Astonishing.

This is one thing I agree with you on. My hate for Garrett is so strong, I hate him like I ahted Bruce, 3 yard out pattern when you need 6 yards, Coslett. All his supporters boast about how he was always a coach, even while playing, and he was well-ahead in the coaching game. Well then, how do you explain his ridiculous play-calling.

I haven't seen anything from him to show that he has learned a damn thing. He lost control of this whole offense, got a number 1 receiver for his number 2, had Crayton move back to three, but this offense got worse and worse. And most importantly, Tony Romo, the franchise QB, has regressed under his watch. This offense is ghetto-ball, and their is no such thing as a system. The only time it succeeded was when they were in the hurry-up and Garrett became a non-factor and talent of TR, Witten and TO moved the chains.

It is a joke watching this offense. That toss to Witten, where he flung it to TO is prime evidence of Garrett being an idiot.

BTW, I think Garrett's chance as being a head coach has officially ended. He has interviewed everywhere and didn't get any offers, and most probably, even the Rams have nixed their original agreement, after realizing the fans don't want him. If it weren't for the dallas Cowboys, this guy would be out of a job.

Go to any NFL board and bring up Jason Garrett's name and it's pretty apparent he's a laughing stock. He's completely unmarketable to anyone but Cowboy fans, who give him a free pass because he's buddies with Troy & Moose and he has "Glory Days" ties.

Nostalgia .. it's all we have left.

It's sad really and knowing he might be back running this offense again next year really gets under my skin...

That has nothing to do with what I like about garret. I really wouldnt listen to troy aikmans reccomendations on talent in any capacity, with a few exceptions.

I dont want him or any other member of last years staff to return but I still like garret and I think he is going to do well in the league.

Yeah, they're called "standards". You should look into them.

I'm too busy not lashing out like a 4 year old because I am disappointed.

If Jerry brings in Shanahan even as an advisor, it implicates Garrett more than it does Wade. Shanahan is a West-Coast guy, and Garrett only coaches the Coryell version of offense.

Yet you never miss an opportunity to pick a fight just like you are doing here.

Don't think it had anything to do with the fans.

They probably never saw him as the lead candidate, it was just poor reporting (which is obviously sickeningly common these days).

I"m not venting. I do get rather angry when I remember the 5 years aimlessly wandering the QB desert looking for Troy's successor, then think about the miracle that fell into our laps in an undrafted free agent ... and then to have it all ruined because we we're playing amateur hour with our offensive coordinator, who's strongest supporters even admit he was "learning" (semantics for "he didn't know what he heck he was doing") last year.

I would expect someone who crows the loudest about being a "real Cowboy fans" would be the most outraged that their teams is being treated like the NFL's junior college for unqualified coaches.

Here's the funny part - he may run the offense next year, and if for whatever reason we don't win, he may just be handed the keys to whole thing when Wade is booted.

Then we get to watch his learning curve as a head coach too!

Seriously some of these people sound like a parent watching their child play Little League. We're supposed to smile and pat him on the head and tell him what a good job he did when he strikes out 4 times. No need to be critical. It's not his fault he doesn't know what he's doing, and gosh golly he's trying really hard.

Go get'em squirt !!!
