Garrett - No coaching changes coming for offense

He can do this because there is no accountability when it comes to the coaching staff, especially the offense. If we see it, your damn sure the players see it. How do you think they feel about it? There's always a scapegoat. First it was Wade, then Rob Ryan, then Dez... I'm sure I'm missing a few in there. But Garrett is completely safe.

My biggest issue is we see how bad the offense is on game day. All reports from camp were the offense was getting dominated every single practice. But yet we refuse to bring in a backup QB. Bridgewater would look pretty good right now.

But we put all our eggs in the Dak Prescott basket. The only question is... When it's all said and done, who will be the scapegoat this time? Will we move on from Dak and keep the coaches ?

This is what the organization does. They double down on their current position when everyone around feels they should make a change. Make of it what you will, but take this with a grain of salt (as you might with every item that comes out of Frisco). Too many tend to buy into these statements.

Next week they will come out and, in typical Cow fashion, play to the criticism fielded this week from the fans and media. I would expect a nice win, but certainly nothing sustainable. But that's just my gut on this coming week.

Bigger picture, this sort of statement from Garrett is the sort of thing I would expect to hear just before he yanks those duties away from Linehan. He may not totally bench his OC, but with Garrett's job in the balance over this, I would expect he will soon be putting him under his thumb even to the point of managing/approving finer points of game plan and calls before they're relayed to the huddle.

I think if this continues to smell into December, a new Coach may be on Jerry's Christmas wish list and he might already be on our staff. Maybe this will be something similar to when Wade was fired and Jason fleeted up.

He also put the Carolina debacle on the defense so that tells you all you need to know. He's never been held accountable for any of the faults of this team. If he had, he'd be long gone.
