Whoa. Romo looks EXACTLY like his mom. That smile.

Also, what does "treatment" mean exactly? Streatching? Cortisone shots? What.

Finally - really good of them to bring Durant. I hope they are savoring the experience overall.

In rugby you have to form tackle every time or it's a penalty I think.

Not many of our defense would cut it.

I think they (the Cowboys) make a concerted effort to resign Durant. Carter? Not so much.

Lee is expected to play the weak side . Carter despite his problems has played the strong side much better than Durant ever has. If Durant stays it's strictly because of affordability because of the injury.

Durant is getting old and he is injured each year. Plus, torn biceps and pecs I think become easier to re-tear.

I love his motor & mental capability, but I wouldn't invest too heavily in Durant.

Carter is better at the strongside than Wilber. They need to stop moving Carter around and keep him at the Sam. He's played better this season.

I'm not going to read too much into that. Perhaps easing him back in and he did have the Brookner finger right before coming back.

Did not read anywhere that his play has not been good. Just speculation due to him sharing snaps with Wilbur.

Yeah, it'll have nothing to do with his stellar play this season in this scheme.

People also like to act like the guy has no ability. But here are his combine stats:

Height: 6007
Weight: 230
40 Yrd Dash: 4.51
20 Yrd Dash: 2.60
10 Yrd Dash: 1.55225 Lb. Bench Reps: 25
Vertical Jump: 36
Broad Jump: 10'01"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.09
3-Cone Drill: 6.77

Carter is obviously a better athlete but the mental fortitude is off and on. Durant is no slouch.

They have to plan on having 2 starters at whatever position Lee plays because they have to assume that he won't play the entire season. If Lee is going to play WLB, then they need to be 3 deep there because he'll probably only play between 0 and 8 games. Keeping Durant would and having Hitchens would give them good depth at WLB.

They like their LBs interchangeable. I think the goal would be to have 5-6 guys who can play more than one position each in a pinch. Durant definitely has a spot in that rotation, and his biceps injury probably kept him affordable enough that we'll bother to retain him with Lee coming back.

I would think the treatment also includes heavy doses of ultrasound and tens unit on the erector muscles of the back.

Agreed. Carter needs to play; even at his worst moments he is a better overall Sam LB than Wilber.

Carter has to stay healthy and hold his spot.
Or return with lights out play and lock up the job.
He was injured then invisible.
Not a good look.

He isn't long for the team is what it seems.
He'll take the biggest offer for a starting gig elsewhere.

The Commanders love them some ex-Boys he might get 20m from Snyder.

I do agree that affordability will play a factor, but Carter needs to show enough consistency for Dallas to want to keep him. He had a few games there this season where he looked really good (after they moved him to the strong side), but he's also had a few games where he didn't really show much at all.
