The #Cowboys are unlikely to go outside to find Scandrick's replacement... That's not to say they will not sign another corner for depth.

Darren McFadden will practice today after being limited on Tuesday with neck stiffness
Jason Garrett said @MoClaiborne will play against the Vikings on Saturday. It will be his preseason debut

Drew Davison ‏@drewdavison 3m3 minutes ago
Rod Marinelli on losing Scandrick: "Probably the best slot player in the league, so obviously he’ll be missed. Somebody has to step up now."

Jon Machota ‏@jonmachota 5m5 minutes ago
Garrett: I told Scandrick, he's a young man, he's a great athlete, he's got a great feistiness to him. He's gonna come back better than ever

Dude, I'm a HUGE Razorback fan and this McFadden thing stinks. Dude is either hurt, sore or too cautious at every turn. Even if you are "sore," suck it up. It's not like you injured your neck. You sat out a whole season last year basically. Dude acts like he's a 33 year old bell cow back.

I'm starting to feel the same way. His neck is stiff but the rest of him is soft.

I'm one of the last ones to admit it, I guess....But it's like the dude just doesn't have the build. VERY hard to think he makes all 16 games, even as a change of pace.

He averaged 12 touches a game last year, made it thru all 16 games. That's about what we will give him too I suspect, prob a little less.. 15 to Randle, 10 to Mcfadden and 5 or so to whoever the 3rd back is and a maybe a couple of passes a game. He will be fine. And you act like he decided to sit out.. maybe he was told to.. i don't know, but either do you. If he was held out of practice that is completely different that saying I can't practice.. IMO.

Thus my biggest concern coming into this season. A crucial part of our offense depends on whether McFadden can stay healthy or not. I have a feeling he can't. Which eventually will have to depend on Randle to carry the load.

For a team that has aspirations of making it to the Superbowl I'm surprised that the running game has several questions marks that still needs to be addressed. If they can guarantee McFadden will remain healthy throughout the season than thats fine. But even Jerry is not sure of that either. If thats the case why not try and bring other runningbacks in? Surely they can do better than the scrubs we have right now on the team.

Right. How do we expect to compete with all the teams without questions? The fo should be fired!!!

I'm sure it's partly the team being overly cautious with DMC as well.

Why don't we wait until at least they've played one game that counts with the starting Oline and the plays are a little more tailored to each back before calling them scrubs.

So your bar is set so that if the FO drafts or signs a player, they have to guarantee the player will never be hurt?? So with that, what player would we sign? Just curious, not just from you but any one really, what GREAT back did we miss out on in FA this year? Murray? His injury history is right up there with McFadden so if you wanted Murray back, you should not complain about the injury history of McFadden. But really, who did we miss out on?

I'm bummed about Scandrick, but I'm excited to see Patmon. Hopefully he sees his opportunity and grabs onto it. I'm ready for a new UDFA to become a Pro Bowler this year.
