Someone had posted JG record since becoming the HC compared to others hired around the same time. Just trying to get that info. Couldn't find it on here.

Here you go:

- There are 9 NFL coaches who have been on the same job since Garrett was hired. Garrett ranks 8th in winning percentage amongst that group. Only Marvin Lewis is lower.

- Of coaches that have been on the same job for 5 or more years, Garrett ranks 11th in winning percentage

- In the last four years, which some fans claim has been a good run for the Cowboys, Garrett's winning percentage amongst coaches employed over that same 4 year period is 10th.

Thanks. I saw a post somewhere and I'm assuming it was here that compared him directly to coaches and their play-off success and his lack there of.

His playoff record with a franchise top 5 QB is a sight to behold

Check it out
Less than 30% to make the playoffs
30% win percentage
1 playoff victory in 8 years

If that ain't coaching excellence I don't know what is

How can you not beg for another 8 years of that?

9 head coaches still have their job since Garrett became the full time HC in 2011:
6 have won Super Bowls and 7 have appeared in the Super Bowl. Marvin Lewis and Jason Garrett are the odd men out.

What top 5 QB did Garrett have? I don't recall him having Brees, Roethlisberger, Rodgers, Brady, Wilson or Peyton Manning........

In seven full seasons as head coach of the Cowboys, Garrett has won just a single playoff game in the Wildcard round and has missed the playoffs 72% of the time.

I hope all the Garrett supporters (the 7% of the board that voted to keep him) enjoyed watching the playoffs this past weekend from their couch, they should be used to it by now.:flagwave:

Romo was dam close, top 10 for sure.

The fact that Garrett doesn't even qualify for the playoffs almost 3/4 of the seasons he has coached tells you all you need to know, regardless of how Romo is rated.

This is fair. There were seasons where Romo was top 5 and others where he was top 10. Can't recall any time since he took over where he was outside the top 10.

It's inexcusable to not make the playoffs or win playoff games with that level of QB play. Embarrassing.

Just look at the resumes of the HC in the playoffs.
There are 4 rookie HC who turned their team around in their first year.
All but Murlarkey and Rivera(3rd year) had their teams in the playoffs within 2 years.
A good coach can turn a bad team around quickly. Look at what Parcells did with our 5-11 team.

I’m not sure it’s a fair analysis comparing Garrett to other teams with a normal front office and GM.

I’d be more apt to compare Garrett to our other Cowboy coaches this era.

We’ve had more proven and experience HC without much more success so I think the problem is much more deeply rooted than our HC.

The problem is that Jerry aint selling the team anytime soon, so this is what we got to work with. Now we need a head coach that can win despite Jerry's meddling.

Garrett has proven, without a doubt, that he cant win jack crap..........so sticking with him is just wasting time, he aint gonna get any better.

So its time to move on to the next coach and see if he can win despite Jerry. If he cant, then we move on again. We keep searching until we can find a head coach that can win under Jerry, it might take some time, but it is what it is.

Besides, what is the worst that can happen if we get rid of Garrett? We end up with a coach that misses the playoffs like 72% of the time?

Oh wait..............

Our process appears to be a little different than many others.
