I know there was thread (at least one) about how some fans feel Romo is not a leader based on some ridiculous speculation. Well here's what the head coach (who is a little more in-the-know about such matters) had to say about that:

"He's engaged with our football team," Garrett said. "He's in the training room getting his stuff done, but he's in meetings and really been involved. He has certainly been involved in the preparation leading up to a game and on the sideline during a game. That's an important part. He is one of the real leaders on our football team."

If Garrett said the earth was flat, would you believe that too....What do you expect him to say...Romo sucks and we need to replace him?? The fact is, Romo isn't a leader and this team isn't winning a Superbowl with him at the helm!!!

Nobody forced him to call Romo a leader. He did that on his own. He could have avoided using that word if he felt differently. But you just keep sticking to your "facts"...

Does it have to be a fact because the coach said it? Coaches never made things up or toed the company line or flat out lied to the media before?

BTW.. im pretty sure that was sarcasm you missed there lol.

Anyway, you can't believe everything you read in the media, because most guys are told what to say, and most coaches just give the company line. Do you honestly think any coach would ever say that their multimillion dollar franchise QB isn't a leader though? Come on.. lol.

The only people who really know for a "fact" how much of a leader Tony is.. are his teammates. The rest of us just have our opinions.

None guarenteed right, none guarenteed wrong. Its certainly debatable from some of the things he's said and done. Most feel one way about it, others question a few things. It could go back and forth forever. Better just to let the subject die.. its not worth another 30 pages of people using the same examples over and over again lol.

That's not necessarily true either.

If a reporter asked Garrett 'what do you think of Romo's leadership?', then that certainly forces Garrett's hand.

Garrett knows full and well that the Cowboys have every intention of keeping Romo. And rightfully so, it's not easy finding quality starting QB's in this game and they have paid him handsomely.

So even if Garrett didn't like Romo's leadership, he can't say 'well I don't think he's a leader' or that would end his chances of getting the HC job. Or if it didn't, he'd still be stuck with a team whose starting QB is somebody the coach questioned his leadership.

I don't see any evidence that Romo is a leader. I think he works hard to do the best job he can and basically feels that the other players are grown men and should do the same. But if they don't, Romo seems to feel that there's nothing he can do about it, so he goes about his business as usual. That's not leadership to me.

Zoners who are real Cowboy fans already know that ROMO is our leader--period.

If he was more of a real leader he wouldn't have gotten pulverized into the ground and gotten his collar bone broken. We need a true leader. One who doesn't accept that kind of punishment.

Hint: Our 4500 yard passer is not the problem...

Just because Romo is doing everything he can on his own doesn't mean people are "following". Leading by example is cool, but you have to actually be LEADING.lol...................If no one is paying attention there is no point in propping up leadership.

The offense does a fairly decent job "following" him down the field as he has led us to multiple comeback victories.

Fans really need to realize there are weaknesses on this team. And quarterback is absolutely not one of them. In fact, with Romo, it is probably our strongest segment of the team.

Its not a fact he is a leader just because his coach says he is.

Just like its not a fact that he isn't a leader just because ignorant trolls claim he is not.

Its all opinion.

My opinion is that he is a leader.

The thing about opinions is that, in the face of evidence, some look much sillier than others.

That's the kind of blind following that people like around here. lol

If you don't agree with the majority than you arn't a real Cowboys fan right?

The QB position (Romo) is not one of the biggest weaknesses of this team, i agree with that.

You know.. its cool that you like it here and you donate and support this place and all, that's great. This is really a good place to come and talk cowboys, so thank you for donating.

..however, some of us have been posting here all season long, and discussing and debating different issues everyday. So even if you finally admit its all opinion, you still act like your opinion is "superior" by calling those who don't agree with you ignorant, and to a lesser extent "trolls".

Seriously dude, we are people who have been posting here just as much, if not more than you this season, engaging in friendly debate and discussion. Don't need someone coming in on their high horse thinking if people don't agree with him then they are ignorant. Chill with the name calling.. doesn't give you much credibility and shows a level of immaturity. I mean hey.. its a message board. If you don't like discussing the particular issue or think its silly then you certainly arn't obligated to throw in your two cents.

But don't insult people just because they don't agree with you, because you come off as seeming that you think you're opinion is superior.. imo, those are the truly ignorant people.

Apparently somebody has a guilty conscience.

Because I did not mention donations nor did I mention anyone by name.

If you do not like that I donate ...... who cares?

I do not expect you to support this website anymore than you do this team.

I didn't miss anything. I wasn't referring to the flat earth nonsense. I was referring to his "The fact is" Romo is not a leader and the Cowboys won't win a SB with him crap.
