The game is tied with 2+ minutes left, the most important thing at that point was for Denver/Peyton to not get the ball back at all in regulation. Run the ball throw some short conservative passes run the clock down. Maybe you get in field goal range maybe not, if not take a shot at OT. But the priority should have been run the clock out.

I don't have a problem with the message. I have a problem with the messenger. Garrett should be the last person to blame anyone.

We don't know that he did. He was probably just asked what Romo should have done.

If that quote is referencing what Garrett said in today's press conference, Garrett was hardly "throwing Romo under the bus."

"Tony Romo's interception heard around the world never should have been thrown, according to Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garett Speaking to reporters Monday, Garrett said Romo should have checked the ball down to running back Demarco Murray rather than try to squeeze it to tight end Gavin Escobar. After the game, which can be seen again at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday on NFL Network, Romo said he didn't put the ball where he wanted. But Garrett is right that the decision, not the accuracy, was the bigger problem. Of course, the defense was by far biggest issue on a day when the Cowboys gave up 51 points. Romo played fantastic overall although you wouldn't know it reading articles after the game"

LOL, Heres a clue sherlock. RUN THE BALL on first and 10? I cant believe this guy has the audacity to call out Romo. Am i the only one who believes we shouldnt have even been throwing in that situation?

Garrett also said he played his best game ever.

At least Romo doesn't make excuses for his mistakes, unlike his fans. I respect what he said, he took responsibility, now I'm over it. Let's keep this high powered offense up and go get the Deadskins.

The priority is to score with no time left. We had plenty of time and Denver couldn't stop us.

Throwing him under the bus or not, Garrett is correct.

Its not a question of being correct its about having a feel for situations. And thats something Garrett lacks as he has proven it over and over again.

His team has lost a heartbreaker. His quaterback played lights out. And all he has to do is to publicly question a mistake Romo made ? What does he want to accomplish withthat ?

If he wants to make his team better he should not question one mistake by a player who played nearly perfect. There are alot more places he could look: He should start with the DC, DE (especially DWare), LBs, CBs and so on ....

Second he should do that in private and not in front of the cameras.

Garrett has done so many mistakes in managing games, calling bad plays, showing that he lacks a feel for the game. This guy should not question anybody on this team except himself.

I'm far from a Garrett fan but really doubt that is what he meant, I'm sure this was taken out of context

This is the quote I'm more concerned about "Knowing my expectations playing Denver and playing Peyton Manning coming in," Jones said ESPNDallas.com. "I'm going to cut him some slack." ..how do you "cut some slack" to any dc who gives up 51 points in the NFL?
