Garrett - what does he even do?

He refuses to scrap his offensive system but lies and tries to get us to belive he letting them do their own thing so the heat will not fall on him so jerry has and excuse not to fire him. It must be part of their agreement once they sign on to take the blame .

That's what happened when Callahan took over play-calling.. JG knew he'd be rendered effectively meaningless if Callahan went West Coast.. that was what the main hue and cry was about..

Not sure what his roll is on the team?

The game plans suck, there’s no discipline on either side of the ball, and the offense is laughably simple.

This is the only silver lining for me. Losing makes people come on here and talk about how bad a coach Garrett is.

Not going to say who calls the offense and rather it is Garret or the OC's fault. What I will say is, no matter how good this scheme was in the 90's, it takes execution on each and every play and so far we have not been that team since the early 90's to do such..... Blame the NFL Cap, blame the old offensive game plan, blame a QB with little coaching experience(Garret), or blame not having a good enough team under the new CAP era . Regardless of what is to be believed, I still think Norv's scheme is old and outdated. While it is not his personally, it shows it is even older than that but Norv was the last to make it popular.

I do not call for a firing immediately, but some fresh game playing by a newer and younger coach would fix a lot of issues. We made a huge change with Jimmy and younger thinking. Maybe it is time to do the same in the future......

Trying to emulating the 90s is a bad idea on so many levels. I completely agree with everyone who states the obvious point that this passing offense requires superior players who can simply beat the defense.

What I haven't heard mentioned very much is that this strategy worked in the 90s because we had arguably the most accurate passer in the history of the game and one of the most accurate and precise route runners in the game. Even so, we needed the goat runner and an all time great OL to make it work. Oh yeah, and a top 3 defense.

The Rams are proving that coaching matters. We need a knew one. Garrett must go.
