I don't think he has the respect of the lockeroom....especially the WRs and the defense. Heck I don't even think some of the coaches on the defensive side of the ball respect him. I really think they all see he was ANNOINTED as opposed to someone who earned it. He was made the highest paid o-coordinator in NFL history and I am sure there are players, much like there are fans...that cannot figure out WHY!

Yes he will.

I am told that there are rumors swirling that he is about to get an extension.

Personally, I don't think he has lost the locker room.

But honestly, I have no idea what the #1 frustration of the team is today, given the fact that the Vikings just lined up and beat them mono y mono.

it would be a mistake for Jerry to ever name this guy the head coach. When you look back to the mess from last year....when Garretts rep took a major hit over the TO/RomoWitten flap. I also think the took a beating for his playcalling being too predictable. And there were guys that liked TO (especially defensive players) that believe Garrett was a big reason TO was ran out of here. And I am NOT a TO guy. My point is players, coaches etc...they know when someone has EARNED the right to be the highest paid player/coach at there position. And I don't think he has done that. All year we move up and down the field and have NO clue what to do in the redzone.

funny how the last 2 weeks everybody's hooping it up with the whole believe theory and after yesterday all is erased . It's back to all of the problems we have.

this team took strides this year and will learn from there mistakes. I do believe we need to tweak some areas and hope jerry will like he did last year

wait...of course we were happy the last 2 weeks. But that does NOT change the fact that this team kicks way too many FGs. This team gets stalled on the other side of the 50 WAY TOO MUCH. It happened ALL year in wins AND losses. This team never attempted to or WANTED to score 50 on someone....that mentality was never established. We always seem concerned with embarassing someone. The Saints would score 100 on you if there is time on the clock. NOT THIS TEAM! That Raider game on THanksgiving...we should have scored 50!

I understand the frustration, we started the game out great, play calling was good. I agree at that point go for it, wade knew the kicker was iffy at best. Then things started to go south and yes soon enough we looked like the team from earlier in the year. If you cant get the deep passing game going then you are going to have to be patient and move the ball down the field slow and steady. The problem is you cant stall drives or kick FG's because now you have shrunk the game down and unless your defense is keeping them out of the endzone you are in trouble

While some of his X's & O's have me scratching my head, I wonder how good he is at motivating? Wade is not a good motivator. He would not be my first choice to be HC, but I would give him a chance. I gave Wade a chance until our embarrassment to end the 2008 season. After that I knew we would go nowhere with him at the helm and yesterday just reinforced my feelings. We all saw how this team plays when they are properly motivated in the 4 games leading up to yesterdays disaster. Imagine playing with that intensity for a whole season. Can JG do it? I don't know but Wade is not the answer!

If Wade is gone Garrett will be the new HC. Jerry has invested (money and time) to much in him to just let him walk away.

I hear you....when it takes 12 plays to score points...your margin for error is very small..not just as players but as coaches as well. One dumb play call when it is first and goal and a drive is basically OVER. Think about it....you go from 1st and 10 from the 35....lose 7 yards....now it is 2nd and 17 from the 42....a drive is basically OVER at this point...especially when your have a shaky FG kicker and you lack explosive players that get open quick. Miles wass our most explosive player on offense....but most of his stuff was double moves or tackles he broke. There was NO way Minny was going to let him get loose. They were content with Witten catching the ball for 7 yards at a time...because eventually they were going to get us in 3rd and long and that was all she wrote. But you HAVE to find a way to get Roy involved when you are in the redzone. I freely admit that I refuse to believe Roy is THIS terrible. If he is not a redzone target then EVERYONE who signed off on this deal needs to be fired. I refuse to believe Jerry acted in a vacum brining Roy here...REAL football people (like scouts or coaches) had to at least advise Jerry on this decision. If not then Jerry is a moron.....becaue we gave up a lot for a guy that looks like Sam Hurd at this point...and I refuse to believe that.

Keep one very important detail in mind:

The SuperBowl is in Jerryville next year. How bad do you think he would love to win that one?

Don't count out a huge Coaching move in an attempt to put this team over the top with one goal in mind. Winning the SuperBowl in his new stadium.

let him walk away? What has he PROVEN? It's not like with players where there are salary cap ramifications.....I don't think Garrett is a leader of men....and I don't think he has the respect of the ENTIRE lockeroom...the defense has seen him kill there side of the ball over and over in our lossess this year.

I think you are missing Yearger's point.

He is just making the contention that Jerry Jones has put much time and money into Jason Garrett.

I have never been a fan of the "A Coach in waiting".

I dislike Jason Garrett, but to be fair, his Right Tackle was getting his butt kicked and then his solid Left Tackle went down.

I didn't say it was a good idea but when Jerry praises someone as much as he does Garrett he doesn't get rid of them. I'm not a big fan of Garrett either but Jerry is.

that has ALWAYS been Jerrys BIGGEST problem...he is PRONE to hyperbole. When he has his mind made up something/someone it is hard to change it. His SON had to convince him to cut TO....I guess the coaches had to convice him to give up on Isiah Stanback and let a REAL WR like Ogletree have his roster spot. Someone had to convince him Troy Aikman was done. Bill Parcells had to force him to cut Emmitt. He has probably coveted Roy since Roy was at UT....becaue how do you trade for an overweight injured possesion WR in the middle of the season...who had terrible work ethic. This move really looked bad when Braylon Edwards was had for like a 4th round pick by the Jets. I mean who is advising Jerry on moves like this? I betcha Jerry advised Jerry on a move like this.

You dont have a clue. Garrett will be the next Head Coach. I like him personally and he did an excellent job as our O-coordinator. We were a top three offense the entire year!!!

I like how you make things up that the players dont respect him!!! lol

Like you would know. What a joke.

of course i don't KNOW....but this is the vibe I got from players last year. And in the season ending loss to the Eagles his own QB along with the chemistry killing WR called him. When you are annointed and paid like you do it better than anyone else....you have a bulls eye. And please do not give me stats...I watch and know the game way to well. Show me the Denver game...show me the San Diego game....show me the Green Bay game...show me the Carolina game where we do NOT get in from the 1 yard line. Show me the Washington game when we get stopped on 4th and one like 4 times. Show me a game where this offense put 50 on someone like we SHOULD have. Heck against the raiders the yards we piled up would suggest we score 40....we were not the offense our rankins SUGGEST we were.

Yeagermeister is right: the die has been cast for better or worse. He still stings from letting Payton get away: he isn't going to let it happen again: FOR BETTER OR WORSE.

Yeah. It's all Garrett's fault....never the players.

Get over it. Garrett's a young, still learning, brillant mind (much like his father).

He will be our next Head Coach in 2010 or 2011. So get used to it.

I would be very surprised if Garrett isn't the next HC of the Dallas Cowboys.

a brialliant mind? We SCORED THREE POINTS. THREE! Against a TERRIBLE Commanders team we scored 7 and 17. That green bay team that just gave up 50 to the Cards.....how many did we score against Denver? You are CLEARY a relative of Garrets.
