Supposedly conscious but in a lot of pain. You're pretty safe having this sort of thing happen to you on an NFL sideline at least. Doctors at the ready and an ambulance in the stadium.

NFL.com reporting that he's been taken to a hospital.


Kubiak was responsive to medical personnel before he was taken away from the field. The Texans said Kubiak was taken to a local hospital, where he was conscious and had his family with him.

Scary scene with Gary Kubiak. The strecher and medical equipment scares everyone, but it is a great sign that he is allowed to sit up.
Only better place to collapse than an NFL sideline is in the hospital. #texans medical staffs well prepared with staff, medicine and equip.
Good sign on reports of pulse, blood pressure stable. Also Texans doctors would not allow Kubiak to sit up if life threatening.
Sitting up decreases blood flow to the brain and that is the first worry always. Latest on air report: he did not lose consciousness
All NFL sidelines are required to have Emergency Action Physicians. Full lifesaving equipment, meds, IVs, defibrillator and ambulance.
