If Garret let's him walk. Hes an idiot. And if he does make the roster and doesnt get see the field. Well once again. Idiot Garrett.
I know I know blocking. Yet other teams play te's who dont block.

I agree. If he gets cut or doesn't play, I hope it's for a better reason than lack of blocking. If my memory serves me right, Novacek wasn't the best blocking TE for us either. Besides, can Rico not improve at blocking? He certainly has the size.

I love ricos size but I get in arguments with how people overrate him. Lol hes the least experienced te on the roster by far. If dallas only keeps 3 tes hes most likely the 4th.
But he's learning a new sport fresh from scrap at the NFL level. He's improved dramatically in 1 year. Imagine how much better he is going to be a year from now once he understands the game better and gets some game experience behind him?

Exactly. Rico most definitely can improve on his blocking. Once he does, plus with his size and athletic ability, he has the potential to become an unstoppable beast of a TE. Why would anyone want to throw that away?

I'm expecting him to be highly scrutinised in preseason. Could be a gem, could be nothing at all.

I have to believe he has more potential than our other TEs. I want to see him get some better time in pre-season. Not just against 3rd string scrubs. I know it's a new sport for him, but the TE position is not brain surgery. He's got the size and a good pace. He can be a monster.

I agree just saying. He is a red zone te at best not a starter like I see boys fans saying. They think he starts day one. That's crazy imo

I mean, hes still a complete question mark and may not even make the 53.

If he stays healthy through camp, so he can practice and get his reps, I think he makes it.

The legend won't get a better opportunity. With written gone the only players that stands in his way are Jarwin, Swaim and Schultz. If he can't make his mark now the legend was no more than a daydream.
It is possible that Gathers could end up being another casualty of Jason Garrett! When Garrett decides who he wants to be the starter they lock everyone else in the closet.

The funny thing about that is they basically have all #1 players on the oline who are also taking up half the teams salary cap and they need help with a TE blocking!
Where was the TE to help out Green in the Atlanta game?
