Know it won't be a popular opinion, but I thought Dak left a lot to be desired in this game. He continues to be careless with the ball and gave the Steelers an early 6. He seemed consistent only in that he would throw low speed, behind or above. Made Beasley look like a terrible receiver today. Don't want to harp on this, but still think Romo should be starting. He did have a much stronger second half though. I think Tomlin really bailed him out.

Zeke continues to be the best player not just out of the draft but in the league this year. I'm not even vindicated at this point in wanting to draft him 4th overall. Some people wanted Bosa or Ramsey, some people wanted to trade down and try to pick him up later, I have to say we're not 8-1 if we do any of these.

I'm not sure if Zeke has conditioning issues is just getting gassed or what. Hating them taking him out of the game. I like Morris a lot but seeing him in the game infuriates me. Almost certainly a lost drive with him out there, and some people thought he would be fine as the starter this year or even more incredulously that he should start over Elliott. Zeke needs to be spelled in SMALL doses that don't disrupt drives. And he needs to be in there in the red zone especially. I'm stunned the coaches are so hesitant to use him properly, we better overload on Zeke in the playoffs. Coaching needs to take a moment and reevaluate what they're doing here.

The offense put the defense in a really bad position today. They didn't play a great game, but they stopped a pretty high powered offense from completely controlling the game.

Bailey continues to be absolutely money.

#1 best player on the active roster - Ezekiel Elliott
#2 Dan Bailey

I agree Dak wasn't great the first three quarters, but like several other games he has owned the fourth quarter.

I know they are trying to keep Zeke fresh but I would much rather they spell him one play here, one play there rather than sitting Zeke for a whole series or longer.

The bolded, so true, Tomlin acted like a blackjack player chasing the shoe instead of just going with what he had. He left 4 sure points on the field in favor of the 4 x mythical 2.

I often wonder what Romo could do with this team, probkwmnis ive seen his body of work and as much as I know he is a great QB I also know he may not be able to keep out of blitzes and such like Dak. Dak definitely can't make the throws Romo does, I definitely think Romo carves some of these defenses up but can't take a hit. Dak may not be as polished or even necessarily better but he is what they need right now.

I agree on all accounts actually. I still feel like Romo would maximize this offense "if" he was his 2014 version. As it stands Prescott still needs to learn a lot for us to go deep into the playoffs, but man does he have a killer instinct.

For the record I wanted Bosa, but yeah, I think I'm ok with how things worked out.

You seem to be judging Dak to an unachievable standard. Sure he had some rough throws but so does every QB in the league. Not Romo, Brady or Dak is going to be perfect every game. You judge him on the entire game. He had no turnovers and did everything he needed to do to win the game.

What more could you ask?

So our O put the D in bad position? I thought it was bad when you talked about Dak.....but what the hell were you watching? Ben picked apart our D with quick throws, Bell stuttered stepped his way through our D....

Penalties & non call penalties kept this game close.....NOTHING ELSE

You know who he reminds me of? Someone else who used to start slow and come on when it counts? #9 I too like Romo and think he should play but I can't think of any argument in favor of taking Dak out of the lineup right now. I can't.

He is judging him to Romo's standard, which is what everyone here should be doing. It's not a knock on Prescott at all, no one denies the kid has been great. Also he had a turnover and has fumbled the ball a lot this year.

Yep.

He's an anti-Dak.

And has been.
