GB - Quick thoughts Week 10

Know it won't be a popular opinion, but I thought Dak left a lot to be desired in this game. He continues to be careless with the ball and gave the Steelers an early 6. He seemed consistent only in that he would throw low speed, behind or above. Made Beasley look like a terrible receiver today. Don't want to harp on this, but still think Romo should be starting. He did have a much stronger second half though. I think Tomlin really bailed him out.

Zeke continues to be the best player not just out of the draft but in the league this year. I'm not even vindicated at this point in wanting to draft him 4th overall. Some people wanted Bosa or Ramsey, some people wanted to trade down and try to pick him up later, I have to say we're not 8-1 if we do any of these.

I'm not sure if Zeke has conditioning issues is just getting gassed or what. Hating them taking him out of the game. I like Morris a lot but seeing him in the game infuriates me. Almost certainly a lost drive with him out there, and some people thought he would be fine as the starter this year or even more incredulously that he should start over Elliott. Zeke needs to be spelled in SMALL doses that don't disrupt drives. And he needs to be in there in the red zone especially. I'm stunned the coaches are so hesitant to use him properly, we better overload on Zeke in the playoffs. Coaching needs to take a moment and reevaluate what they're doing here.

The offense put the defense in a really bad position today. They didn't play a great game, but they stopped a pretty high powered offense from completely controlling the game.

Bailey continues to be absolutely money.

#1 best player on the active roster - Ezekiel Elliott
#2 Dan Bailey
So before this game you thought Romo should play when ready.

After this game your opinion was magically confirmed.

Also in your mind, you were the only person that wanted to draft Zeke at #4...

You seem to be judging Dak to an unachievable standard. Sure he had some rough throws but so does every QB in the league. Not Romo, Brady or Dak is going to be perfect every game. You judge him on the entire game. He had no turnovers and did everything he needed to do to win the game.

What more could you ask?
Its not just his throws, he's pocket awareness seems to be hit or miss, not to mention bad mechanics. Bad mechanics with team success could cause issues down the line, he is doing that Jim Everett Fadeaway throw way too much

Not really. At one point I believe he was 11 for 20 passing and had some really awful throws, and he had the fumble....basically on a play similar to the one Romo got hurt on.....you can only extend plays for so long.

But then he was like 11 of 12 with the game on the line. So he wasn't great all day.....and remember the fact that he had 80+ yards on the dump off to Zeke early that made his numbers look ok at the half....otherwise it would have been really ugly.

All that being said, you have to stick with him.

If Dak has a couple of bad games in a row, this might be a discussion again. In no way do I think they should name him starter for the rest of the year.

Keep it week to week, ride the hot hand. Keep Romo in your back pocket as an insurance policy.

Yeah, this is really hilarious. People want to take credit for something that they had no part in and that there were tons of either people who wanted Zeke at that spot.

Dak has confirmed my opinion the last few games. Please tell me that his passes weren't off the mark today.

Where did I say that I was the only one who wanted Zeke? Please keep hearing what you want to hear.

The bolded, so true, Tomlin acted like a blackjack player chasing the shoe instead of just going with what he had. He left 4 sure points on the field in favor of the 4 x mythical 2.
Really two of the 4 attempts were bad decisions...the last two the score dictated. But he got himself in the hole early cuz he was arrogant about his defense shutting us down.

Some don't get that playing in Pittsburgh ain't like playing in Cleveland.

When you get to the playoffs, you're going to play top defenses and offenses game in and game out.... You play like he did in the first half, and you'll find yourself down 24-7 really quickly in a playoff team against a team that isn't.... the browns.

He has been doing this all year. Tomlin has trading on past successes and his "gambling" has cost his team so much this year. His love for the two point conversion cost him this game.

Outside of Atlanta I don't see a better set of skill players on the NFC side of the ledger than what Dallas just saw in Pittsburgh.

And the Cowboys defense is better than Atlanta's.

What people fail to umderstand is that Dak often throws the ball in the right spot and the WRs cut off their routes. The back shoulder throw to Dez mid field was were it needed to be but Dez didn't understand that it would be back shoulder based on the coverage.
