2011 PRO DAY RESULTS

BAYLOR
It wasn't so long ago that the on-campus workout at Baylor was something of an afterthought on the pro day schedule, however, NFL personnel people turned out in numbers to see the Bears this year as 23 teams attended including as many as 10 teams that had more than one representative. Most were there to see DT Phil Taylor and/or OG Danny Watkins, neither of whom ran, but both were reportedly solid in positional drills. Among the other Baylor players that worked out, RB Jay Finley, who ran for over 1,200 yards in 2010 when he averaged 6.2 yards per carry and scored 12 times, measured in at 5-11, 203 and ran a 4.55 40 while posting a very athletic 39.5" vertical leap. TE Brad Taylor, a converted QB who averaged over 13 yards per catch on 20 total receptions, this fall, ran the 40 in the 4.6 range, but was relatively slow in both the short shuttle and 3-cone drill. Safety Byron Landor didn't run all that well, posting a 4.7 type 40 clocking, but did show excellent hands as he made a couple of highlight reel diving catches.
UTAH STATE
13 NFL teams were at the USU workout. CB Curtis Marsh opted to stick with his combine results and did not participate. Athletic option QB Diondre Borel, who measured in at under 6-0, could get a look as a free agent receiver or DB after running under 4.5 seconds for the 40. Safety Rajric Coleman also ran well posting a 40 time of just over 4.5 seconds, along with times of 4.23 in the short shuttle and 7.15 in the 3-cone drill. CB Chris Randlehad a 37" VL and a solid time of 7.04 in the 3-cone drill, but only ran the 40 in the 4.6 range. TE Doug Barbour, a one-man track team in high school who was never very productive at USU, could get some free-agent looks as a special teamer after he ran under 4.5 seconds in the 40.
