Guy previews the Cowboys in his final preview. Apparently guys who miss the first preseason game are all out for the year so we'll suck. Sadly, he's got the Giants finishing with the best record in the division but failing to make the playoffs because reasons. Oh and he thinks Thornton is a downgrade from Hayden.

So his predictions are as follows:

Giants 9-7
Washington 8-8
Eagles 6-10
Cowboys 6-10

Yet, in his predictions, the Giants miss out on the playoffs due to tie breakers.

'Kay...

Agree with writer. The entire D has to play at career best levels to give this team a chance in post season, and it's career best may not even be enough if turnovers are not generated. It all comes down to pass rush.

I disagree with pretty much everything he wrote.

Elliott Collins Tapper Mayowa all came back today and he used their absence as support.
Hayden is NOT better than Thornton at anything.
The Cowboys supposedly don't match up well against the division. Tony Romo is 14-5 against the division in his last 19 games.
And the cherry on top is he doesn't even know how teams get into the playoffs.

I said I agreed with his conclusion about the D. I think I was pretty clear with that.

I looked him up because I'm always curious about these write-ups.

He's a Giants fan from New York.

Last week there was another national hatchet job on us. That guy was from San Francisco and wrote on a 49es blog.

It's pretty easy to figure out once you know their background.

I don't mind a critical article and it's not like we're the 90's Cowboys, but some of this stuff is simply from guys who don't do their homework and rely on the national narrative to write a piece. It's just lazy.

God only knows where this author is digging up his info but his preference of Hayden over Thornton says it all -- he's bereft of accurate analysis.

LOL. He wrote this in May:

- Dallas Cowboys, 9.5 wins

For years, taking the under for the early Dallas lines has been a safer bet than hitting water falling out of a boat. But with Tony Romo apparently back for more and my pick for Offensive Rookie of the Year in Ezekiel Elliott running behind a great O-line, the offense should be very good. The defense hung tough last year despite some injuries and the Romo-less ineptitude on the other side of the ball. I smell a big bounce back year, and finishing with four eminently winnable games helps lead me to the over.
