i think he means we wouldnt lose a pick quantity wise. because we would have 2 second round picks which would still be 6 picks total and we would have that extra first next year (8 picks total)

I see; but wouldn't our first pick this year still be a second rounder? Or do we get a first this year and next year?

Financially it is not as big of miss on 1st round QBs as it was pre rookie cap. Teams are more willing to roll the dice now.

If that next year's 1st ends up being Teddy Bridgewater or Clowney, it's a no-brainer for me.

Problem is, they are probably thinking the same thing. Why rush for Geno if the pick they are going to give us could easily be Brdgewater or Clowney?
