Sometimes you have to earn the right to haze. When I was in the Marines, turds hazing boots was frowned upon
Luckily, it's football and not the Marines. :) And excrement's not a part of the football hazing equation. Thank goodness. :p

I'm concerned about OScan but there's time. Do you think he's bottomed out?

He's going through a lot in his personal life. I'm betting he's just a bit distracted early in camp.

That's an aspect that fans don't think about all that much. I believe Brandon Carr's production took a hit, too, when his mother died, for example. It's a game where everybody's at their peak performance all the time. Throw in some extra cortisol, or a lack of sleep, or just a major mental distraction, and it's going to affect your production somewhat. It's human nature.

I thought the team did away with hazing? For legal reasons. Did they, or did Scandrick ignore the message, or some low level hazes are still allowed?

Wow. How y'all love attacking people's character. I asked a basic football question. What is this you're talking about regarding Scan and Jones?

He has been reported as being a caustic guy before. No big deal, not everyone has to be a boy scout. Charles Haley is a jerk but I'm glad he was a Cowboy.

The part about Jones is that he was giving a live interview and OScan came over and interrupted during the interview to make sure Jones remembered to carry his pads for him. I don't mind the bit of a haze even though I personally think it's childish, but to do it during an interview is a little classless.

Why can't we find a TE that will takeover for JW one day?

Because we look for them when we think he is done and he keeps chugging along. Maybe they should just ask him when he thinks he is retiring and draft accordingly.

*DallasEast scans the thread*

During his first training camp, Dez Bryant received decades-old heckling that rookies automatically receive from veterans--courtesy of fellow wide receiver Roy Williams. Certain forum members took grave offense to Williams' actions (much moreso than Bryant himself) stating Dez was a victim of outdated hazing and such behavior should be expunged from the sport of football. Incredibly, the outrage of yesteryear is absent from this thread. Hasn't Jones suffered the same malicious indignity that Bryant somehow mysteriously endured? Where's the tidal wave of empathy for Jones as it was for Bryant? Puzzling.

After reading your post my outrage got the best of me so I put on my boxing gloves and started walking towards cowboys TC

Then I realized I live in Virginia

Well if you didnt click the link like me, you would have never seen this tidbit. *Btw mods, can anyone clarify the rules around posting articles? A lot of times when there's a list like this I dont even bother clicking the link if it isn't all posted in the original post.

Back to Scandrick, that's cornball behavior. Not that this is even a story.

Hey I made a comment. I'm not indignantly repulsed by OScan doing that, but I think it's pretty crumby behavior.

I agree on Scandrick's untimely behavior. Many players dream of owning the media spotlight. Scandrick could have waited until Jones had completed his interview.

Oh. It is just a part of rookie introduction to the NFL that's all (hazing). OScan is not that type of guy. He is intense when it comes to competing on the field but his is not a bad person from all accounts I've seen of when he conducts himself off the field. On the contrary ... he's very intellectual and respectful.

Fine. But during a tv interview?

Remember when the Rat was giving an interview and Romo came up from behind and slapped him on the shoulder pads and said something...and then left grinning as he walked away? It happens all the time...lol It's not a big deal to a family of players.
