JMHO

Of course he does. All scumbags do good deeds for future equity; they know full well how to obligate others for their own causes. You'd think this age old and very simple principle would be obvious.

Oh my goodness, the irony in the above statement could fill a book. Sorry Doom, it just flat out doesn't work like that. Moving strip clubs away from schools is one thing, telling people what they can film or print is another.

Thank goodness your opinion was UNANIMOUSLY ruled against by the SUPREME COURT. You just don't get it dude. Which is surprising since you're in the military. I would expect you to be a champion of our freedoms since you signed up to defend them.

Sad.

What is funny is you ignoring the fact of your rights intruding on others rights. In this case the family's rights as the court stated. Did you read the entire decision?

You dance like a chicken on a hot plate.

Your opinion isn't coming out smelling so good, but you keep coming back for more. :D

Well as someone who has worked with hundreds of soldiers over the last 25 years I can confidently say you are WRONG.

It is always shocking and disappointing to me to know that there are people like Flint in this world, .. and then to find out there are people that side with him and admire him is even worse.

I'm not in the military and yes communities have a right to set certain standards and no Flint does not have the right to show his smut any where he wants or to any one he wants. Tell me can a 10 year old buy one of his magazines? Of course not and why can't that kid go into a movie and see a prone film? Of course not see we can and do set standards even though you seem to have none. Also the family of his woman also has rights that are due them tell me why should their rights be compromised so some scum bag can make money off of it. Not sure who is more sick Flint or people who defend what he does

Punks like Flint think that they can do whatever they want. Unfortunately all too many judges go along with them.

it's a matter of common decency. Apparently, some people have none.

love to see someone try to legislate "common decency".

coming from someone with a rant about freedom in their signature is definitely ironic.

I said nothing about legislating common decency. I asserted that people needed to show common decency when exercising their rights in order to maintain a free society.

Bottom line: Constitutional rights and freedoms extend to a wider range of people than merely pornographers and assorted miscreants. The families of victims have rights as well--rights that this court upheld.

I suggest you consult a dictionary for the word ironic because you clearly have no idea what it means.

"need to show common decency" indicates that you find this to be an actionable item.

Claiming that "so-and-so needs to show common decency" is not synonymous with claiming the "courts must legislate common decency."

Simple logic.

aahh. so when you say someone needs to do something, you really mean they don't need to do something.

Dude. Seriously?

When I say someone ought to do something, I'm not also saying that the courts need to make him or her do it.

Obviously, some elements of common decency are going to fall under rule of law (such as laws against theft or privacy violations) while others aren't (such as adultery).

well you didn't say ought, you said need. So I took it as need.

I'm with you now though...carry on.
