Gerald Sensabaugh

My biggest disappointment this season aside from the record, the collapse of the defense, Anthony Spencer, the last episode of Lost, the loss of Romo, and Marc Colombo,: has been the loss of AOA. I never really expected the Ball deal to pan out, but didn't worry too much because of how high I held AOA. He just felt like one of those kids who were going to step in and be a play maker. Now everybody including myself is clamoring for a new FS, and we've all but forgot the kid is on the roster.

If we do get Peterson i really hope we don't make the mistake of trying to move him to safety.

Whoever posted about moving Peterson to SS and Sensy to FS, did you just wake up or something?

Sense is too slow to be a FS in the first place, and Peterson is one of the best CB's to come out in years. You don't just swap positions around like that, especially with multiple players in your secondary.

Is this directed at me? Because this is my point.

Lmao....I completely lunched on your post. I misread the first two sentences and assumed I knew where you were going...my bad.

One thing about Sensabaugh is he is a great open field tackler. I see no reason to get rid of him.

Ball has to go.

I wouldn't be upset if Gerald was here for another year. He's not spectacular but he's solid.

He missed quite a few tackles during the first half of the season.

Is Peterson smart?

I'm tired of just drafting "gifted" athletes.

Feel ya there. We definately have to improve the intelligence of this team overall. More high draft picks like Lee. Physically talented, but also intelligent, hard working, blue coller football guys.

I've grown on Sensabaugh. Last year he was great for us to the point where I thought he deserved a contract extension. Glad i'm not the GM. That being said, he's gotten better since Garrett has taken over. I think its unrealistic to replace both safeties in a offseason and expect to be a contender next season. Ball needs to go back to corner and find a free safety.

Yep and he avoids contact. A friend of mine and I were watching the Tennessee game and we DVR'd a play four times that showed him absolutely pulling up on a hit that Polamalu would have destroyed. He is one of those guys' whose at the heart of a team without one.

But I tend to agree we can't afford a major reconstruction so keep him and work on him.

I don't think Sensi has been awful, but I have to ask, if we replaced him, would we even know he was gone. Same thing for guys like Bowen and Hatcher. I don't think we'd miss any of them.

Keep Sensabaugh!!!atleast 1 more year, if we get a good safety here that'll take off some work from him...i think he's playing wrried about the other safety, and if we can get someone to play with him and have onfidence in eachother doing there jobs people will notie a difference

IF Ball and Sensa are still starting for us next season, I will lose all hope.

Sensabaugh is awful. The only thing that makes him less awful is Alan Ball.

Sensabaugh for all his athletic gifts, tends to lose foot races to tight ends, especially on crossing patterns. He would be a great 3rd safety but as a starter he is lacking.

I've been saying this for years and we will all see a huge difference when we stop taking the position for granted and have 2 real safeties back there.

I still think Roy (#31) Williams's deficiencies would have been better hidden had we had a a true Free Safety next to him. Ken Hamlin had that one Pro Bowl year but he's a Strong Safety type IMO.
