Great Question...
I'm going in to my fifth year in the nfl and i have played behind to good safeties eary in my career. 1. Dovovan Darius- known for big hits, high intensity, always around the football. 2. Deon Grant known for his coverage ability and good ball skills.
What i did as a player was try to combine the two together to mold myself in that image. In jacksonville i played beside reggie nelson who is pretty good himself.
I was pretty much the down safety doing a lot of run stopping on first and second downs. In passing situations i would do most of the covering when in man coverage rather it be a slot WR or TE. So i've had a lot of snaps at run stuffing and covering during last season.
In dallas i will be at the strong safety position and Ken will be the free.
In the 3-4 defense it mainly stops the run and puts a lot of pressure on the secondary because we all know the Cowboys love man coverage. So my job is to cover and cap the run.
I think this defense is great for what i have molded my career for. So expect me to make a lot of plays and show my coverage ability which i am looking forward to.
My rookie year in jax they experienced me at corner and every year i get snaps playing the inside slot.

Already one of my favorite offseason acquisitions, his experiences at actually covering TE's and WR's and playing cornerback may bring this to be one of the most unheralded yet important offseason moves by any NFC East team.
Can anyone imagine having Roy 38 trying to play CB? The fact that Jacksonville had him doing so really speaks of an improvement at the strong safety position we'll enjoy this season. Seriously though, we now have a strong safety talented enough to stuff the run and play coverages in the slot???
Damn it, this season can't get started fast enough!
