I want to believe Sensabaugh is the missing piece to finally make this defense live up to expectations, but we still need Spencer and Brooking to pick up the slack also. If those 3 players have career years or close to it it will be a top 3 defense easily.

career years?

no wonder you guys get so disappointed.

I just want the guy to be solid. If he is that defense will be fine.

when did we start loving to play man?

My thoughts too.

We ran man the 2nd half of the season, but thats hardly worth a "We know how much Dallas loves man coverage"

Just reading this thread has me excited. Sounds like Sensabaugh was a heckuva pick up. I hate using this word because it's often overused, but I'm thinking this defense could be dominant this year.

After week 10, this was a totally different D in 09.

Sens fits this "post week 10 of 09 D" to a tee.

Good FA moves arent always related to just the "Big Name" acquisitions, a good fit often proves to be the better choice.

Its not like everyone was rushing out to get their Gerald Sensabaugh Authentic Jerseys before he signed with Dallas, he was just that blue chipper type of player on a good defense.

Playing with a group of talent at his position that included Donovan Darius, Deon Grant, and Reggie Nelson, suggests the reason why he was under the radar in Jax.

Now he comes into this attack style 3-4 variation, that with a few tweaks in the secondary and LBs, you add even more versatility, which is right in line to Sensabaughs game, and the fit just feels right.

Throw into the sub packages some of the rooks starting to understand and develop in Nov/Dec, and this Defense has the ability to be very good, for the "duration" of the season.
