How was he on pace for MVP when he already had two INTs returned for TDs against Denver and looked like garbage and was able to garner some yardage to pad stats when being blown out by the Broncos or over throwing Dez three times in a row against the Giants? Against the Commanders the first game, dude only threw for 143 yards and Zeke scored both TDs and Dak couldn't find the end-zone and they had to settle for 4 FGs in the second half and he coudln't even cross into red-zone territory. And our final TD was on an INT return by Jones. He couldn't even break 100 hundred yards passing against a battered Washington team with a bottom of the barrell defense the next time around. We scored because our OL was absolutely dominating on run blocking and Alfred Morris was running all over that defense and then we got a TD by Switzer on a kickoff return for a TD.

Dak was garbage like normal against the Rams starting the second half and was sailing passes and threw an awful INT during the second half. COuldn't score once again in the third against GB either and only moved the ball in the fourth when Linehan gave them a heavy dose of Elliott.

That's what you call MVP play? Ridiculous..

not underpaid it is what other contacts should be at or under..the others are bloated and seriously ridiculous..

The reason our offense struggled was because Tyron went out. Had nothing to do with Zeke. Morris had a better ypc then Zeke and with Rod we ran the ball well enough to win. Problem was we went away from the run, our defense forgot how to play giving up 30 plus points which made us 1 dimensional and therefore put Green and Bell in pass rushing situations which they failed.

We had Zeke for Denver, we had Zeke for Seattle and the last eagles game as well.

Sure Dak made some mistakes but the blame isn't solely his and to say such a thing makes people think you have no idea about anything related to football

LOL ya and Elephants can fly bud...reminds me of the Blue's Brother where JB meets Carrie in the tunnel ....my car got stolen...house caught on fire....ran out of gas....locust locust..:laugh:..Man lets down to the guts of the Dak's situation....is he qualified to be our Franchise QB for the next 10 years.....NO...not even close so far!!!

Market drives the contracts. I mean, you can think that they are over paid or under paid or whatever. The simple truth is that comparing contract demands for starting QBs with Brady's contract is not balanced. He is seriously underpaid for what the market dictates.
 
As a starter, Dak doesn't even break 500 attempts passing, while Cousins as a starter does that regularly. Your talking close to 800-900 yards passing more a year. The more volume you expect Dak to throw, his percentages drop, while Kirk's best season was close to 67% while throwing close to 5000 yards, which Dak hasn't even close to sniffed. It's not even comparable what the guys do with their arm. The more you put the ball in the hands of Dak, he's shown he can't get it done. These comparisons are just absolutely dumb.

Dak is a bus driver that one has to simplify plays for right now.

A QBR of 66 when he has to throw more.

These comparisons are a flat-out joke. Trying to belittle a player to make one feel better about Dak, doesn't change reality.

You make excuses for Dak's play with his WRs, but the WR problem in Washington was real. Reed hardly ever plays a full season at TE and their best WR was a guy in Crowder that didn't even start but 6 games and netted 780 yards.

Kirk got it to Crowder as much as Dak got it to Dez in thirty less attempts and he wasn't even a starter.

Kirk didn’t start full time until his 4th season.

He sucked the games he played during his first 3 years.
 
I haven't read the entire thread but did anyone ask if Cousins wants to play for Dallas? If you were Cousins, would you?

Or would you rather throw to those tandem WR's in DEN and have that D or have that D, run game and receivers in JAX? Or what if MIN let's all 3 of their QB's walk with that D, receivers and returning Dalvin Cook? Or AZ with great WR's, strong D and returning David Johnson?

Of course, money speaks the loudest but with what the Cowboys need to get done with their own, how could they throw a big enough wad at him and give up on their own QB?

If I am a QB in high demand, I take one hard look at this offensive coaching staff and another at this receiving corps and there are far better options for success. Then I take a look at the AZ, DEN, JAX and MIN D's and Dallas is not an option at all. He's not desperate.

If you were being forced to play for the Skins, I'm sure you would demand every red cent you possibly could to play for that garbage.

Personally I don't see why people call him greedy, he's been an outstanding passer but the skins never offered him the franchise qb deal that he deserved.

If any owner knows what type of qb it takes to go to the super bowl it's Elway, that team hasn't been the same since Manning was there, he's going to get him.

How many years has Cousins been around vs Dak? The fact that Cousins could not beat Dak in 4 tries with our shabby defense says a lot.
