Get Cousins at all costs!

We did get Lucky with Dak but I'm convinced he would have benefited from a year on the sidelines with playbook and clipboard watching Romo. No, that was not in the cards and he's done a nice job here. Still needs to develop without question. You're right, not having a backup for Romo with all the injuroes (clavicles and back) was myopic

He had a terrific season as a rookie. Standing on the sidelines wasn’t going to prepare him for what happened this season. As usual with the Cowboys they didn’t adjust heading into the 2017 season. They had to figure that teams would be better prepared for Dak and that Zeke was likely to be suspended. We counted on Chaz Green to backup Tyron which turned out to be a huge mistake. It was stupid for us to think things were going to go as smoothly as they did in 2016. The OL issues created a number of problems for Dak. Our pass protection was damn near flawless in 2016 not so this season. When you have a young QB it’s vital that you have good pass protection.

I Don't drink bud but anyway can you tell me did we make the playoffs? Nope as we were playoff bound at 5-3 after beating a good Chiefs team and then Zeke went out and Dak's swan song the next 3 games was a dismal 3 str8 losses (Embarrassing loses) with 15 Quarters of offense with 1 rushing TD!
We end up at 6-6 and sat home for the playoffs! Dak is solely responsible we went from contenders to pretenders!

Hey some of you think this kid is our answer at QB....GL with that!!!!:omg: I hope I'm proven wrong!!!!!

Cousins behind our offline and Zeke and Dez man can you say TD!!!!!

Maybe you should start. I believe every Dallas fan knows we didn't make the playoffs.

Getting rid of three key players is beyond insane.

Did you really say don't pay Martin? Did you not see what happened with just losing Leary?

Has Cousins ever beat Dallas with Dak as QB?

People always look at the line and blame the OL. It is not often you get a Hall of Shame worthy performance like what Chaz Green did out there, nor do you have an equally clueless coaching staff looking on in stunned disbelief for an entire game.

All in all, it was not just Atlanta. It was the rest of the year where he did not break 250 yards passing more than twice in seven weeks and threw nine of his thirteen picks on the year.

So take your pick. He is really good and was just shellshocked and hampered by a bad coaching staff and playcalling. Or that maybe that was closer to who this player really is. To me, he looked like he never saw the field well, displayed poor accuracy and caused more sacks than he should have during that stretch. He did not appear to be comfortable if the circumstances were not perfect like they were most of the time in 2016.

Tough to say which QB he is right now.

But I would hope at least people can look at the results and then feel comfortable saying the player has to improve soon and it is not completely somebody else's fault.
I think DAL lost its 2 super stars that the whole Offense is built around and Dak tried to do too much

His performances were still not God awful outside the first PHI game

I right it off to injuries and expect him to return to his 18-6 start

The irony of this is amazing.

People have spent years lauding Tony Romo who at the end if the day was not that much different in terms of grabbing the stats and numbers.

Yet he was great and Cousins is a head case loser?
Cousins is all about $$$. He wants on average $25 million per season. What exactly has he done to earn that kind of cash? Tom Brady, the guy going to his 8th Super Bowl doesn't even make that...

I think that depending on what happens in Minnesota, I might think about Sam Bradford as a possible Backup option. Short term is what you would like, with a QB who has starting experience and enough talent to get you by for a few games. I think Bradford could do that. If you eventually develop Rush, he could be that Backup for a while and that helps the cap. Once he decides to take a shot at starting for somebody, he's trade bait.

Yeah, but it's widely known that Brady plays for much, much less then average for the position. He's done that for a long time now. You can't really compare Brady to other situations with the money, because of that. However, you do have a point in general.

Pap has had this shtick for some time. Don't worry Spider we aren't dumping Dak, Dez, Martin and Tank for Cousins. Pap likes to rattle cages :)
Nope don't wanna rattle cages my brother I want a QB who can Throw and can win with his arm anyone anyone anyone???? Not a QB who parasites off of Zeke and our Off-line....Go Cowboys!!!!

LOl. I'll stick with the QB who can score points:

Kirk Cousins has been the NFL’s worst red zone QB, and it’s not close

Inside the 20-yard line, Cousins is at the bottom of the heap when it comes to the rest of the league. He’s attempted the second-most passes in the red zone this season (17), yet he’s completed the second fewest (five) among quarterbacks with at least 10 attempts. He also has two red zone interceptions, which are the most in the league. Brock Osweiler is the only other quarterback with a red zone interception this season.

Inside the 10, he’s completed just 1 of 8 passes for six yards and two interceptions. One of those picks came in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys, when the Commanders held a three-point lead. Cousins’ interception essentially lost Washington the game as Dak Prescott drove the Cowboys down the field for a touchdown.

Hey Jerry how about you go out and get Cousins and give us a Franchise QB who's got all the talent necessary to take this Team along with Zeke and our offline to the Superbowl! Without a quality QB teams go nowhere (unless they have the 2000 Ravens def) and waiting for Dak to become a Cousins might take forever or simply never happen!

Jerry probably won't so our troubles at QB will continue and continue and continue!!!

For whatever reason,
I have always liked Cousins' game (and I know his record against us.)

Wouldn't mind him at all.

Bradys base salary is $14 million which is below average for a top QB but you throw in the $7 million signing bonus and the $1 million roster bonus, he is right at the top of the league when he gets that pay check.

Since most people don't actually watch games aside from ours, they really don't know that all QB's miss passes, and that all QB's struggle w/ pressure. Aaron Rodgers has one of the worst ratings in the game vs the blitz. No one talks about it because he's the golden boy. Tony Romo was the highest rated QB in the 4th qtr of all time at one point. No one talks about it because he's the bashfest object.

The problem is, people get their info from BSPN. And BSPN is nothing but a human drama soap opera. They'll say anything to get ratings, including making crapp up. And since they don't watch the games, they get their info from some moron who doesn't even deserve the job he has.
Great post. Totally agree and you used only facts. Wish some were as knowledgeable as you my friend

Never Hated Dak seems like a nice guy....just feel he Stinks as a QB and we're wasting our time on our Tim Tebow of the Dallas Cowboys...
Dak and Tebow are nothing alike. To even try to compare them as the same is silly. To say Dak stinks as a QB is also silly and untrue. He isn't Rodgers or Brees but you have to remember he just finished his second season. Dang let the guy develop. We have seen him play at an elite level but there are some things he still needs to work on. He isn't a finished product yet

He is arguably the best QB in the league. Maybe the best of all time and even with incentives, he is paid like the 12th highest QB salary in the league. That is, IMO, way underpaid for who and what he is.

Stop talking that nonsense. The blame is solely on Dak...... Haha name 1 QB that could get lit up like Atlanta did Dak and actually look good. Remember the playoff game against the Vikings and what happened to Romo.

The reason our offense struggled was because Tyron went out. Had nothing to do with Zeke. Morris had a better ypc then Zeke and with Rod we ran the ball well enough to win. Problem was we went away from the run, our defense forgot how to play giving up 30 plus points which made us 1 dimensional and therefore put Green and Bell in pass rushing situations which they failed.

We had Zeke for Denver, we had Zeke for Seattle and the last eagles game as well.

Sure Dak made some mistakes but the blame isn't solely his and to say such a thing makes people think you have no idea about anything related to football

y'all need Jesus, that's what you need.

You are probably right about that.

That is the going rate for a fairly young semi-respectable QB these days. It is not often you see a QB like that hit free agency.

I think we would all look at other job opportunities for a massive increase in pay. Why should Cousins be different. As for what he has done to earn that kind of pay, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks except those willing to bid for his services. If the market says he is worth that kind of pay, then he is worth that kind of pay.
