its going to be wild if they do that. Jerry is the most powerful man in the league and ESPN two weeks ago already did a piece on him trying to get elliot out of trouble. So if it happens and Jerry tries to intervene the storyline has already been setup. I can see it now, Jerry thinks he is above the law or something of that nature.

It feels like they keep putting info out to set everyone up that this is going to happen. Somehow among all the guys in the nfl who get into trouble and no one cares Elliott has become public enemy number 1 for the nfl as shelter said this morning. Seems outrageous but I guess this is where it is at.

Dallas is winning and there is nothing to drum up about them so they are clinging to this and the qb stuff. It sucks for us fans that want to hear about why and how dallas is winning.

This is also the usual M.O. of espn in regards to Dallas, build them up and then tear them down and make them villains. they do it every year. The giants winning the east talk is already starting and I imagine within a week or two that will be the new national story. Dallas blows east, zeke suspended and Jerry is a bad guy who drafts bad guys.

Kind of a shame, Zeke has a real opportunity to be the face of not just the cowboys but the NFL. Dez was always too dark, Romo was too divisive but Zeke has the personality and talent to be a real figure head for the league through numerous endorsements. The longer this stretches out and if something comes from it, this will take a lot of money from the young man's wallet.

This BS that has to do with the league's ongoing determination to pin something on Zeka really gets my goat. Even the police have stated that there is no basis in truth to carry on further investigations. They are satisfied with the evidence presented that was crystal clear from the very beginning. Zeke's former girl friend has been hell-bound from the start to get him into trouble to the point of falsifying reports. Commish Goodell's insistence upon maintaining such a heavy hand when it comes to demonizing the league's players is a disgrace to his office, imho. It must surely be possible to protect the image of the league without unnecessarily denegrating the dignity of its players. (jmho)

but i have to also agree with the OP, the NFL is doing damage control after Brown and needs a scapegoat.
There clearly doesn't need to be any valid police/legal evidence or investigation for the league to do something.
My only hope is the NFLPA goes ballistic and protects its players from future garbage allegations like this.

I doubt Zeke did anything wrong but that won't stop the NFL from their witch hunt if they need a poster child to show that they "care" about domestic violence. If it is a Cowboy they get a two for one.

I believe it is just a matter of time before Zeke gets suspended. I doubt there is little if any merit to the allegations against him but the witch hunt is on. Some media outlets are saying that the NFL has him in its sights as public enemy number one.

Mara seems to have Goodell's ear a hell of a lot more than Jerry does for some reason. The Giants need help to catch the Cowboys in the standings. The Giants have jettisoned their idiot Kicker for domestic violence so expect them to take the moral high ground and push for Zeke to be suspended for an exit ended period.

Zeke had not signed a contract when the alleged offenses occurred but they will probably not let that get in the way some of it was alleged to be post draft.

I hope I am wrong about all of this but you can see it coming from a mile away.

It is a waste of time and energy to speculate on this topic. We all know that Mara will push the issue, but they have to have some evidence and that does not appear to exist. They can't suspend him for some other incident that might have occured when he was in college.

Let's just forget about this issue unless it get's some traction in the news.
